"Be consistent" is the most repeated piece of social media advice... and the least helpful.
Because nobody defines what consistent actually means anymore.
Being consistent these days doesn't necessarily mean posting every day. It doesn't mean being on every single platform. It doesn't mean responding to every comment within an hour.
Here's what consistent actually looks like now:
● Showing up on a schedule you can sustain for months, not days.
● Saying things that actually sound like you.
● Building content that supports a clear strategy.
● Letting the platforms work for you while you sleep.
The businesses winning on social media right now aren't the loudest. They're the most consistent in the ways that matter.
If your definition of "consistent" has been burning you out, it's time to redefine it. That's a conversation I love having with small business owners.
Comment CONSISTENT if you're ready to rethink what consistency looks like for you.
