Here's a branding project I'm proud to have worked on that's being sold through TJ Maxx this summer. I created the look and feel for the entire line, including the logos, packaging, advertising, and show banners. What makes these products especially fun is that the packaging doubles as a reusable backpack, giving kids something useful long after the toys are opened—perfect for trips to the beach, pool, or school.

With the superhero movie season approaching, I'm going to reach back and share some never before seen projects that I've worked on. Pictured is a "Wolverine: Giant Size Pez" box, I had designed for a Chicago company named "Brand New" and sold through Spencer gifts!

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!
Over the years I've been lucky enough to create products that ranged from banks, bobble pens, snow globes and packaging based on the "Star Wars" brand. Here are a few examples.

A LOST TREASURE!
During a Wizards magazine podcast that Bart Sears and I were recording, he suddenly held up one of his book covers—one I had completely forgotten we had created together. The book, Drawing Power, published by SQ Publications in May 2000, felt like rediscovering a hidden gem from our past.
What makes it even more remarkable is its rarity today—it’s now selling on Amazon for around $300.
Even better, Bart is currently developing the third installment in his series, Drawing Powerful Heroes!—and once again, we’ll be collaborating on it.

Sam Kieth, creator of The Maxx and co-creator of The Sandman, comic book writer, artist, painter and publisher, has died at the age of 63. The Maxx was adapted to an animated series for MTV's Liquid Television and went global. During my "Wizard Magazine" years, I was lucky enough to color Kieth's covers, posters and trading cards. RIP Sam Kieth.
