New Steve McDonald cd is here.We had a number of pre-orders but still have several copies left-reviews so far are very favourable.For the cooks out there we are re-stocking 'Broths to Bannocks' and the centenary edition of the Glasgow Cookbook.Both are chock full about all you could ever want to know about Scottish cooking.Honest!

New Steve McDonald cd ordered in quantity,should have it and day now!Also arriving soon our order of Scottish Fair Isle gloves,hats ans scarves-soft and nicely priced;was a hit lasy year so we ordered more(from Mackie of Stewarton if anyone is interested!)Oh and we have tinned haggis back in stock,as well as Taylor's loose teas.That's it.

Items that may interest some of you:we just received a shipment of Tain pottery,the first in a while.Also received some new Taylor's of Harrogate teas-many customers tell us this is the only tea they will drink!Lastly for now,our main music supplier,Music Design,has been able to source the much-requested Red Hot Chili Pipers;we should have it in store soon,as well as the new Steve McDonald CD.

Just had a chat with the management at OWCV-they intend to put on more events,using the grounds as the focus.Perhaps add a RenFest(we had one before),make the Scottish bigger etc.If anyone has any ideas,contacts etc I will be more than happy to pass the info. along.If you remember how it used to be I think it can be that way again:just takes some pulling in the same direction!

Good news Steve McDonald fans,I have just been notified by his label that his CD's are available again and a new 'album'is in the works(ballads and battles I think).Anyway we will be re-stocking them ASAP,so if anyone wants anything please let me know!

St.Andrews Society of Detroit Annual Highlang Games at Greenmead park in Livonia tomorrow.Weather looks great and we took a van-load-so why not go and say hi to the girls?!

Another thing I forgot to mention(surprise!).Canterbury Village has a Farmers Market this summer/fall.Every Tuesday,until further notice(unless I forget).Some very nice merchandise,produce,baked goods etc.Has already attracted a good crowd.
