Hi, I'm Jodi Moore, your Florida photographer for any occasion proudly located right here in Highlands County. Seven years ago, I took the bold leap into the realm of professional photography by opening PBJ Photography by Jodi. My journey as a photographer began as a child with a passion and fascination for the art form. Growing up with a camera in hand, I discovered the magic of freezing moments in time and telling different stories through the lens. As a proud graduate of Shaw Academy, with a degree in Photography, Photoshop, and Lightroom, I thrive on the artistry of photography. Capturing raw emotions and crafting authentic compositions. Each click of the shutter is an opportunity to craft a narrative, and I approach every project with a dedication to excellence. I find great joy and pride in creating enduring memories that linger in the hearts of those who will cherish them for a lifetime.

🎄 Just a little reminder… Christmas is coming! 🎄

I know, I know… it’s only September. But photographers are already thinking about Christmas while everyone else is still deciding what they’re going to be for Halloween. 😂

If Christmas photos are on your list this year, now is the time to start thinking about booking your session before the holiday calendar starts filling up!

And before anyone asks… NOPE, these are NOT AI. 😂

Some of us were creating crazy, magical, completely unrealistic scenes before AI ever showed up to the party. These were hand-edited the old-fashioned way in Photoshop — cutting things out, adding things in, blending, masking, layering, adjusting shadows and probably questioning my life choices somewhere around layer #47. 😂

AI may be the new kid on the block, but Photoshop and I go WAY back.

So yes… I can take your Christmas photos.
And apparently, I can also send your child to the North Pole. 🎅

Christmas sessions will be here before we know it! Who’s ready?

🚩🚩🚩 PHOTOGRAPHER RED FLAGS 🚩🚩🚩

Apparently we’re supposed to be honest on social media, so before you book PBJ Photography by Jodi, there are a few red flags you should probably know about me…

🚩 When I say “one more,” just know I’m lying. There will be at least five more.

🚩 If the light suddenly gets REALLY good, I may yell, “WAIT! DON’T MOVE!” like something terrible just happened. Nothing happened. The light is just perfect.

🚩 I’m going to fix your hair, straighten your dress, move your necklace, tell you what to do with your hands and probably notice the one tiny thing nobody else sees.

🚩 If there’s a trash can, exit sign, random person, ugly chair or anything else messing up my shot, I WILL find a way to deal with it.

🚩 I’m a little trigger happy. Okay… maybe a lot trigger happy. I’d much rather have too many photos to choose from than realize later I should have taken one more.

🚩 I’m picky about editing. I want your photos to look like YOU. Real skin tones, real colors and no crazy filters that are going to make you wonder what year your photos were taken.

🚩 Flash doesn’t scare me. Dark reception? Bad lighting? Bring it on.

🚩 If you tell me, “I’m awkward and I hate having my picture taken,” I’m probably going to take that as a personal challenge.

🚩 At weddings, I’ve been known to pin a boutonnière, fluff a dress, fix a veil, help with a timeline and do whatever else needs to happen. “That’s not my job” really isn’t in my vocabulary on a wedding day.

🚩 And probably my biggest red flag…

I actually care about the people I photograph. I love watching couples become families, kids grow up, seniors graduate and familiar faces come back in front of my camera year after year.

So yes… book at your own risk.

You may end up with beautiful photos, way more confidence in front of the camera than you expected, and a photographer who remembers you the next time you come back.
