A little behind-the-scenes work last night.

Sometimes creative direction looks like floor plans and production notes. Sometimes it looks like bingo cards, wristbands and a pink flamingo. Research, I swear.

I was paying attention to how the venue uses its space, how the crowd moves and what keeps people engaged. The fun happens out front, but creating a successful experience starts with watching, learning and putting the right pieces together.

Apparently, this is what happens when your brain starts seeing possibilities everywhere.

I opened my trunk and had to laugh.

Five frames I sourced for a project with a friend. A white plastic head. A bowling pin. A vintage lighter. A lamp I bought because I thought, “I could do something with that.”

The funny part?

I know exactly why every one of them is in there.
Some people see an old frame, a strange lamp or a random object. I just LOVE the unique things and
I tend to see what it could become.

Apparently, The Curated Scene now has a mobile prop department, or more decor for home.
