Accounting Assistant

Part-Time, 24 hours / 3- 8 hour days per week of Monday to Friday

Reed Art & Imaging has been in business since 1976, we are a full service fine art printing studio. Originally a commercial photo lab, we morphed into artwork reproduction in the mid 1990's and have not looked back. Many of our staff are artists themselves so we understand what's important to our clients and love working with like minded creative’s. We are currently hiring for an Accounting Assistant to our Accounting Manager.

Job Description:

Daily reconciliation of customers Cash Receipts, including payment processing & reconciling receipts for deposits
Prepare deposit slips for bank
Handling & balancing cash boxes
Call trade references for credit application
Some filing needed
Must be available to administrate procedures for month end closing
Invoicing Net 30 Customers
Maintaining resale tax license verifications and spread sheet
Review the on-line time clock from the previous day and make updates
Back-up Quickbooks and company software on a daily bases
Depending on experience, Accounts Payable and Inventory
Back-up the Accounting Manager for Payroll
Additional responsibilities may also be assigned by Accounting Manager

Requirements:

Knowledge of accounting procedures and attention to detail is necessary
Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize based on established daily and monthly timelines
Ability to work independently, punctual and to be dependable
Must always maintain confidentiality regarding financial and personnel information
High school or equivalent (Required)
Accounting: 2 years (Required)

Technical Experience:

Proficient in QuickBooks Premier Desktop – Required
Must have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Job Information:

This job is a shared Part Time position up to 24 hours per week 3 days a week
The position is in office and is a casual atmosphere

If you are that, plus you have shipping experience, then we might be your next employer. We have a full-time opening in the shipping department at our fine art production facility. If you’ve got the skills and you play well with others, we invite you to apply to be our Shipping/Receiving Specialist.

Primarily what you’ll be doing:

• Establish priorities and set workflow according to daily shipping deadlines
• Prep and package fine art products for shipment, including creating custom boxes
• Schedule shipments via local courier services, USPS, FedEx, FedEx Freight, independent freight company (including international shipments)
• Generate bills of lading, packing lists, online forms and necessary shipping reports
• Respectfully handle valuable artwork and large crates
• Generate shipping quotes for in-house sales reps
• Receive shipments of artwork and production materials
• Monitor inventory and materials supply
• Maintain a safe, organized and clean work space
•
Duties you may also be asked to do:
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks
• Assist with packing art in custom shipping crates
•
The must-haves:
• Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!…or at least lift heavy boxes & materials (50+ lbs.) and be on your feet most of the day
• Detail-oriented, focused, organized, and can multitask like a pro
• Responsibly self-manage and stay on-task with limited supervision
• Interact courteously and tactfully with managers and co-workers
• Speak, read and write English
• Basic math skills
• Steady, consistent work history
•
Extra credit if you have:
• Wood shop experience
• Industrial shrink-wrapper
