Excited to share my latest illustration work 😄 This was done for the fabulous group at Love Our Land, an Ohio conservation group dedicated to restoring local ecosystems. It’s launch week for the third book in the Louie’s Little Legs series🎉🎉 A lot of work goes into producing these books — it always feels surreal to finally hold a copy!

Illustrating these stories has been some of my favorite projects because they’re SO fun to bring to life and Danise is an absolute joy to work with. I love her mission behind these books and her organization Unleash-Love. She’s running a special this week in celebration of the launch and Louie’s gotcha day.

Today's launch day for 's new book Reach. I've been working with Becky and for almost 9 years and I'm so excited that she gets to share her wisdom with the world. She's truly a remarkable woman that has made an impact in my life and so many others. Congrats Becky, and thank you for all you do -- you make the world a better place.

Not even sure if anyone is going to see this because it’s been a long time since I’ve posted which means Instagram’s algorithm is against me now 📉

I am still around, plugging away at client based work, but not much lettering or art lately. Battling through a major season of burn-out that I thought would pass quickly, but it’s been months. Months of just forcing myself to get through my work to-do list and then I’M SPENT. To battle this mental exhaustion, I started running again, and it’s done wonders. Amazing what a little self care will do, right?!

I hope to be back at the art/lettering soon. Until then, I hope everyone else is finding time to self care in whatever way fills your soul.

Life has been BUSY and I haven’t been posting much this year. But I had to hop on and share the second book in the Louie’s Little Legs series that I illustrated and just released this week 🎉🎉🎉

Also swipe to see a glimpse of the illustration process, which I must add is not the entire book process! spends months writing and revising the story before it reaches my hands. After I’m finished, it then goes to a production specialist, then the printers. So many hands, talents, gifts, and hearts pour into these stories, which is why we are so passionate about sharing the work 😄

I haven't posted in a LONG time because this summer kept me busy! One of my biggest projects was completing the second book in the Louie's Little Legs series. This book focuses on the magic of patience taught by Louie and his little pal, Rascal. I adore this story and can't wait for the release! Until then, here's a sneak peek. I know I'm supposed to have a "niche"... but I get bored with a niche! The best part of NOT having a niche is the variety of work I get to do. Painting portraits isn't something I'll be adding to my regular repertoire, but it sure is fun to say 'yes' to once in a while! My reasoning: I get obsessive with every little detail when it comes to portraits. So maybe one day I'll develop a system and style to get more loose with portraits, but for now.. it's just a once in a while thing! This particular one was done in watercolors and gouache.
