In March 2025 Smokin Joe Walker contracted Piquarius Graphics to do some vinyl lettering on the side of his new building off Hwy 29 in Lanett….As the summer progressed, the vinyl started to come off of the building….I mean it looked BAD, so BAD I’m sure his customers brought it to his attention…..But Smokin Joe never told a soul who’s work it was because, as a African-American business
owner, he didn’t want to make my business look bad!
As you know, I offer warranties on my vinyl because my vinyl suppliers offer me warranties on the vinyl I purchase. When Joe brought it to my attention in September of 2025, I IMMEDIATELY filed a claim with the manufacturer….Now as any business owner will tell you, when you out here chasing business and business chasing you sometimes redo work slips thru the cracks, especially when you are a two man band!
I finally heard back from manufacturer in January 2026 and guess what, they refused to honor the warranty…..But MY CLIENT is Smokin Joe….I got to make it right with him….So when I told him what happened, because I didn’t keep up with my client, he had to get some temporary banners from a mail order company to tie him over and they had literally shipped to his office the day I met with him……
Was I mad? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Piquarius Graphics removed the old vinyl FOR FREE, installed the banners FOR FREE, and gave money back to the customer to show the customer that WE value his business and stand by our products OR will make it RIGHT!!!
After the installation, Smokin Joe wanted to give me a “tip” for installing the banner and wouldn’t you know it….it was the same money I gave him….I said Joe that’s not right I owe you this…..His response was “Just the fact that you acknowledged what happen and took the time to install the competitors banners showed my character and integrity to him”
You just don’t know how good that made me feel to know that two bald head Christian African-American Men can be about their business and still be a blessing to others at the same time!!
So…. Would you take the time for the next three days (THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY) and buy out ALL OF HIS BBQ!!!!!!!!!! And bless him, the way he blessed me!!!!!!!!!
