We moved! 🎉

Bellwether Public Relations cut the ribbon this afternoon on our new downtown Lansing office at 101 S. Washington Square, Suite 400 — one block from the state Capitol.

We've been a Lansing agency since 2004, starting out in a small house at Chestnut and Ottawa and spending the last eight years in the Fox47 Building. This new space finally puts all 17 of us on one floor, with a kitchen where the team can gather and a conference room built for hosting clients.

Big thanks to City of Lansing, Michigan Mayor Andy Schor and Tim Daman of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce for joining us, and to the clients, partners and neighbors who stopped by for the open house.

If you're downtown, come say hello. We're on the fourth floor.

This past weekend, Bellwether's Randy Hannan joined the Detroit News’ Nicole Cook and Michigan Public's Colin Jackson for the Michigan Political Leadership Program's 2026 media training session at WKAR - Public Media from Michigan State University. This year’s talented MPLP fellows practiced their message delivery skills through a series of mock media interviews in Studio C, the home of Tim Skubick’s legendary Off the Record public affairs program.

Bellwether is proud to support MPLP and their mission to train and inspire current and future generations of public policy leaders in Michigan.

At Bellwether, we know that the health of mothers and children is deeply connected.

Our team is proud to partner with clients advocating for an FY27 budget that maintains momentum on key priorities affecting moms, babies, and children across the state. Because when parents are supported, babies do better.

Pride Month is a time to reflect on the values that guide everything we do, including who we work with, who we advocate for, and how we show up for our community.

We celebrate love. We embrace diversity.

To our LGBTQ+ colleagues, clients, and communities: we see you, we support you, and we're proud to stand with you this month and every month.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈

Michigan is facing real challenges that deserve an honest reckoning.

Communications can shape how a story is told but not what the story is. A press release doesn't fix a policy failure. A media strategy doesn't repair a broken product. A carefully worded statement can't substitute for accountability.

Every year, the Mackinac Policy Conference sets the tone for Michigan’s business and political conversations. This year, much of the conversation we heard centered around one issue: “Michigan’s house is on fire.” Everywhere we turned, people were eager to talk about how Michigan has quietly ...
