Starting today, the 517 Junteenth celebrations in REO Town!

The 6th Annual 517 Juneteenth Weekend returns to REO Town
June 18 – June 21, 2026!🥳🧡

For four days, REO Town becomes home to a full lineup of experiences — from health and wellness seminars to youth and family events, and our Father's Day Jazz Night, with our peak event, the 517 Juneteenth Festival, taking place on 6/20/26.

The festival brings together 8,000+ attendees, live bands, DJs, performances, and 100+ Black-owned businesses showcasing food, art, fashion, and culture throughout the district.

All events are free and open to the public.

The Cranbrook Art Museum is offering free gallery admission in celebration of Juneteenth!

We can hardly think of a better way to spend a day off than by appreciating art

In celebration of Juneteenth, Cranbrook Art Museum gallery admission will be free for all!

Explore our current exhibitions, including "Labyrinth/Laboratory: Selections from the Cranbrook Collection," "Shaping the Field: Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art," and "Designing Cranbrook: The Saarinens' Eclectic Vision."

Cranbrook Mini-Golf will be open at the regular price. The ArtMembers' Exhibition Opening Celebration will be held that night, June 19, from 6–9pm, and will be free for ArtMembers and $20 for general admission tickets. Visit the link below for more information.

Last week, our Art Director Nathan was given the chance to tour the Wharton Center for Performing Arts thanks to our involvement with the Lansing Chamber of Commerce.

Being part of the Chamber is a wonderful privilege, especially when we get an inside look into historic Lansing landmarks. Experiences like these not only deepen our connection to the community, but also inspires our creative endeavors as a company and as a team.

A look into our process for creating this logo for our Old Town neighbor, Chengdu Teahouse. We had a lot of fun experimenting with this design and are proud of how the final design met our clients goals of finding a balance between Eastern and Western influence.

🍅 A week ago our annually planted tomato plants went up on the patio. Lauren took extra care this year to ensure they would flourish and the work has paid off!

Unfortunately, our social media team did not snap a picture when they were first planted and now they are practically doubled in size! Our illustrator worked to produce an image for our followers that might represent how they looked a week ago. Scroll through the images to see the plants as they are now.

The Fish Ladder Grand Opening is tomorrow! 🐟🎤🪩

We are excited about the Grand Opening of the Fish Ladder Music Park with the ultimate 80’s dance party! 🎶
Starfarm along with DJ Dav, will be bringing the ultimate throwback night to the Lansing Riverfront on May 29th, . We're talking big hits, neon lights, dancing by the river, and a one-of-a-kind setting in the heart of Old Town Lansing.

This concert is free to the public courtesy of the Community Foundation

What happens when a brand disregards their legacy framework? You might alienate your established audience, you may attract a different consumer base, or you might make the Ferrari Luce.

The newly released 4-door all-electric Ferrari is not one that you would recognize on the street. It is a complete departure from the original vision of Ferrari and raises the question: when will the search for modern design escape minimalist simplicity and how does a brand voice get diluted by this diminishing design style?
