Every spring, thousands of high school seniors are accepted to college, plan to enroll and then don't show up in the fall.
It's called summer melt. And at its core, it's a communications problem.
Students aren't getting the right information, at the right time, in a way that moves them to act. Financial aid deadlines get missed. Housing deposits go unpaid. Enrollment tasks pile up with no one to explain them — and no one following up.
The good news? We know how to fix it. Personal outreach works. Clear, human messaging works. Meeting students where they are works.
We work alongside organizations like ACT's Center for Equity in Learning, Michigan College Access Network and Lansing Promise that are doing exactly that — building real systems to keep students connected and on track from graduation day to move-in day.
