Good research should make people curious & want to keep talking.

Our PR Specialist, Morgan, has spent the past three years researching how generative AI is changing public relations. Recently, she co-led a workshop with Dr. Chuqing D**g for 150+ communications professionals in Michigan State University’s Campus Communicators Network — and the conversation took off.

We’ve been asking Lansing residents one of our favorite questions: What do you love most about your neighborhood?

Alongside Lansing Economic Development Corporation - Lansing LEDC and SmithGroup, we’ve been listening, learning and hanging out with residents across Willow-Walnut and Baker-Donora. From front-porch chats to farmers market conversations, every idea helps shape a vision that feels true to its people.

That's meaningful community engagement. You don't start with what a neighborhood is missing. You start with the people, strengths, relationships and character already there, and then build from them.

We always enjoy partnering with LEAP, and we were honored to provide lessons and resources to its Small Business Support Hub. We covered everything from navigating media relationships and telling stories that resonate to building a brand people understand and remember.

Working together makes useful expertise more accessible and gives small businesses the tools to build on what they’ve already started.

Got thoughts about your Lansing neighborhood? Bring 'em.

The people who live, work and build lives in a community should have a say in the decisions about its future. That's why you should join us, SmithGroup and Lansing Economic Development Corporation - Lansing LEDC this week to help shape what's next for the Willow-Walnut and Baker-Donora communities.

We'll be at Allen Farmers Market on Aug. 12 from 3-6:30 p.m. for fun activities, Lansing goodies and real talk about what you love and wish for in your neighborhood.

We spent part of our week at a local farmer's market, and it was a good reminder of what we're here for.

Michigan summers are special. Cherries at peak season. Ears of sweet corn. Peaches that actually smell like peaches. Flowers that stop you in your tracks. & the security of knowing where it all came from.

Local markets are community infrastructure. The vendors who show up every week, the regulars who wouldn't dream of missing it, the families loading up reusable bags with their haul. It all matters. It's the kind of work we believe in, and the kind of community we exist to support.

Healthier communities are built by the people who care for them.

We supported Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties' hiring event for the new Crisis Care Center, a central hub for immediate behavioral healthcare. Our recruitment push called on the nurses, clinicians and center staff who will help create a safer path forward for people in need of care, including at the community's first Crisis Stabilization Unit.
