Most people use social media to promote their business.

But what most tend to struggle with is using creative hook points that attract their ideal clients.

You see, we may think that just sharing our services and what we offer as business owners is enough.

In today’s world, where attention is spread thin and people scroll from one post to the next in a matter of seconds, that’s not the case.

You need to have different hook points and create content that’s engaging if you want to stand out.

Which is why you need to consistently adapt and focus on what delivers the best results if you want to stay top of mind and relevant on social media.

How can you stand out and grow your business in a 3-second attention span world?

Where consumers spend only a fraction of their time paying attention to your content or completely ignore it if it doesn’t resonate with them.

You need to stop checking every box “gurus” are telling you to check.

“Post 3-5 times a day” , “The more people you target the more more revenue you'll make”.

It’s out of touch advice.

Instead of focusing on quantity and feeling rushed to always have something to share or post, you need to be intentional and strategic with your content - otherwise it could hurt your brand.

That old saying where if you put enough content or run enough ads, something will eventually stick, is bad marketing advice.

It’s not practical and you’ll end up spending an absurd amount of time, money and effort for nothing.

Be thoughtful from whom you take your marketing advice.

Smaller advertising budget?

There is one area to focus on that can yield one of the highest ROI’s with the least amount of buyer resistance.

// Retargeting campaigns //

There are different types of remarking campaigns you can focus on to capture the highest quality of leads while keeping costs low.

These are 3 of my favorite:

- Website retargeting.
- Social media retargeting.
- Email list retargeting.

Let’s get into it…

Website retargeting can be very effective since you’re placing ads in front of people that are taking specific actions on your website, such as spending a certain amount of time, click specific buttons or visit certain pages.

For example, if you’re looking to capture more Rhinoplasty leads, then you can retarget people that are landing on your Rhinoplasty website page or people that spend more than 1 minute but no more than 10 minutest total.

That eliminates any idle users or fake interest from people that immediately bounce from your site.

Social Media Retargeting is another good retargeting strategy you can implement. For platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, you can start by targeting people that follow you, engage with your content, watch your videos, or even people that watch your IG reels or stories.

That way if that audience is consistently engaging with you, you know there is some level of likeability / trust involved and you know they’re actively paying attention to what you share.

Email list retargeting is a fun one. Since platforms like Facebook have thousands of different data points about its users (like you and me), they can easily identify the people from your email list and show them your ads.

Think of the patients you have that may want to know more of your other services or people that never came in for a consultation that may be ready to move forward now.

The creative possibilities are endless.

You can use these retargeting campaigns strategically to create ads that don’t require high budgets and generate some amazing returns.

The amount of growth you want to experience in your business by using social media depends on how seriously you take content output.

There is no such thing as a shortcut or doing things half-way in marketing.

When you approach an advertising or content creation strategy, unless you fully commit to it, you won’t generate the results you’re looking for.

In other words, if you want to attract more paying customers and book more consultations, you need to be a content output machine.

Of course, you can have someone do it for you or you can do it yourself, but there needs to be a strategy that builds your online reputation while generating qualified leads.

Choose the channels that work best for you, where your audience will find you and go all in on it.

❌ Being sloppy with your ads and content won't replace correctly marketing your services to people that are willing to pay a premium for a unique experience and results.

There are no shortcuts if you want to have a lasting impact with your social media marketing efforts.

There is only consistent implementation of great strategies by marketers that know how to generate the results you’re looking for.

Everything else is a distraction.

People come up with these incredibly vague metrics that don’t translate into bringing more revenue to your medical practice.

“We are reaching X amount of people…”

“We got X amount of impressions…”

The real question is, how does this impact your bottom line?

Some of these vanity metrics help guide the effectiveness of your strategy and provide better insight for marketing performance.

But besides that, those numbers won’t bring you more paying customers or increase your sales.

Those are not the main numbers to focus on.

What you really want to know is:

✅ How is this translating to more revenue to my business?
✅ How many qualified leads are we generating?
✅ How many consultations are we booking?
✅ What are we doing to improve and stay relevant?

Don’t fall into the trap of reading long reports with fancy marketing lingo.

The metrics that matter most are the one’s that can be easily tracked and have an impact in the growth of your business.

When referring to your customers in your advertisements, use language and copy that only your ideal prospects will understand.

Simple but crazy effective.

You can easily funnel who would be a better fit for your services and products while quickly removing anybody else that doesn’t fit what you’re looking for.

A good way to think of it is by pretending you were talking to them face to face.

- Who exactly is this person?
- What separates them from everybody else?
- What type of experience do they want to undergo with your services?

You quickly start to notice that by being specific you intentionally disqualify those that wouldn’t be a good fit.

When you advertise, post content or write emails, you are in complete control of the language and experience your customers go through.

Don’t waste that opportunity.

Use it to your advantage and you’ll attract more qualified customers.
