Santa Lucia Global lifestyle habit #1:
It is imperative to me that each and every day I make certain that I take the time to look deeply into the reflection of my eyes staring back at me in the mirror, so that I may assess my mental clarity and resilience for the day’s tasks that lay ahead. More importantly, I look towards my reflection with conviction to hold myself accountable for any mistakes or shortcomings that I may have created and endured that could have been avoided. In this moment, it is just me and myself. No lying, no hiding. Within this moment of solidarity, I hold a constructive confrontational conversation with the man in the mirror. I ask myself a myriad of questions that are of great value and substance to me. Questions that make me think and answer about how I can do or be better next time. Such as:
“Is this the life that you want to live? How can you live life better starting immediately today? Did you make someone smile today, laugh today, cry today? Did you let anyone down today? Is your word as good as your bond? Did you inspire someone today? Heal someone today? Is your business strategy working, do you see it, do others? Are you leading today, and every other day with passion and love? Did you tell your friends and family that you love them? Lead with passion and purpose and help all of those who you encounter on your journey who may need it? Hone in and focus on your life’s vision, make it clear and unmistakable? Did your actions speak louder than your words? Have you earned another’s respect today? Did you show respect to all those who deserved it? Are you living from a space of gratitude and are you showing it every chance that you get? Would Mom be proud of you today, would Grandma and Grandpa be proud of you if you could still be able to stop over and tell them all about your day? Are you the man that your Mother and Grandparents raised you to be? Are you presenting and sharing yourself to the world as the pure reflection of love and grace that your family blessed you with when you were growing up?
The very first step for any and all lessons to be learned in life is to be honest and true to yourself. ☮️
