When I was an adjunct professor for over 30 years, I always taught my business students that a small business should prepare a business plan each year. I doesn't have to be 20-pages, in fact a One-page Business plan works well for a small business.

Markets: Tariffs giveth, but they mostly taketh away. They tooketh again yesterday, with all three major indexes plummeting as investors stewed over the escalating trade tensions between the US and China. Meta shed almost 7% in a blood-red day for the Mag 7 stocks (and pretty much everything else).

The deal: Prada agreed to buy Versace for $1.38 billion in cash from US-based Capri Holdings, which also owns Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors.

Capri bought Versace from its founding family for $2 billion in 2018. The group is selling it at a loss to focus on its debt and other brands after failing to revamp Versace’s weakening sales.
This is Prada’s most expensive purchase since its 1913 founding. It’s looking to expand after bucking a luxury slowdown with several years of double-digit growth, boosted by its wildly popular Miu Miu label.

The Supreme Court ruled that the government can use a rarely invoked wartime law to deport Venezuelan migrants but said they must get a court hearing first. Separately, Chief Justice John Roberts temporarily blocked a judge’s order requiring the US to bring back a man the government admitted to having mistakenly deported to El Salvador to give the full Supreme Court time to consider the issue.

President Trump said the US will be holding direct talks with Iran about its nuclear program on Saturday, which would be the first ones since 2015.

Microsoft has fired engineers who protested the Israeli military’s use of the company’s AI products at the company’s 50th anniversary celebration last week.

Florida defeated Houston 65–63 in a thriller to win the men’s college basketball national championship.

Barrick Gold, the company whose stock ticker is “GOLD,” wants to be a little less gilded. It’s proposing changing its name to Barrick Mining Corp. to reflect its large investment in copper.

25 years and 9 FIRED OR ASKED TO LEAVE Police Chiefs in Henderson.

I happy she opted to be fired.

Holly is a talented, educated, police officer and elite athlete. Her choice to be fired is etched in her integrity and character.

Good luck and please look for ways to keep serving our City of Henderson.

Hollie Chadwick is out as Henderson’s police chief, according to an email obtained by the Review-Journal on Thursday.

Check this out. Today, I was on Freemont street visiting Green Beret Racing! This great new motorcycle dealer,
Evoke Motorcycles, a manufacturer of smart electric motorcycles asked me to do a photo because my jeans matched the colors in the logo!
Hilarious. Come to find out, they are opening a dealership in Las Vegas. I hope I landed a new client!

Seriously, we all know money has not, and does not EVER improve education in Nevada. I can't wait to read this bill. It will not include any accountability or performance standards. It is simply the Cannizzaro Kiddy Care Bill. Pre-K only sets a foundation for education when parents are involved. Reading to and with a pre-K child is the ONLY way to begin the
desire to learn. A classroom with 30+ little kids with one teacher is not a classroom, it is a daycare center.

Say "NO" to more money for schools. Taxpayers must insist on accountably for both teachers, administration, and the board. Transparency needs to be paramount.

Ms. Cannizzaro assures the taxpayers that, by paying for universal pre-K, “we’re going to see that benefit for years to come.” This is wishful thinking.
