Clark County Wetlands Park, presents: CITY STARGAZING. This 'FREE" program offered to the public will feature a presentation followed by viewing of the night sky through telescopes.

Presenter: Gerald Stein, Las Vegas Astronomical Society
The Las Vegas Astronomical Society is a nonprofit organization of amateur astronomers operating under the auspices of the College of Southern Nevada Planetarium.

City dwellers can stargaze too! The Las Vegas Astronomical Society will give a presentation about what is visible in the night sky. Attendees will have an opportunity for hands-on telescope use to view the night sky.

Light refreshments will be served. This event is Free to all ages, walk-insuring hours of 6pm to 8 pm. at Wetlands Park.

Clark County Parks & Recreation keeps the community connected to our wonderful desert environment with Volunteer Events for the public to join-in and keep the Clark county Wetlands Park clean and beautiful.

Come out to clean up at this Community Stewardship Program, Volunteer Hands On Event!

• Saturday, November 11, 2017
• 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
• Location: Sunrise Trailhead

We are seeking up to 200 volunteers for this event. We will be removing trash and debris at Sunrise Trailhead. Come out and clean-up. On Thursday Oct. 26th Paradise Recreation Center will transform in to Gotham for a thrilling 'Trick or Treat' Trail! If you are brave enough to enter "Arkham Asylum", you might not escape. Because, Arkham Asylum has been broken into and all of Gotham's villains are loose, destroying the city! Help us restore peace to the city by joining Commissioner Gordon, and The Dark Knight for one night devoted to defending Gotham from these very evil villains. Like: The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and of course The Joker.

Gotham's Adventure will open at 5:00 PM and close at 8:00 PM, so don't miss out on this super hero adventure of with everyone's favorite hero!

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACKULAR is a Family Event with: Fun, Games, Cake Walk, 'TRUNK or TREAT', Bounce House, Crafts, Candy and a Very Scary Haunted House. Join us for this annual event. Additionally, FOOD TRUCKS will be here with a variety of food available for purchasing!

• All Tours are FREE. Most are suitable for kids ages 10 and up.
Tours are provided for seniors via Gold Carts on Senior Golf Cart Tour scheduled dates, please sign-up by email as space is limited.

Our tours are led by Park Nature Guides and feature exploration with wildlife and plant observations. Times and meeting locations vary. Please be sure to SIGN-UP IN ADVANCE for the nature tour of interest by email to: [email protected]

Interested in wildlife! Come for a Sunday walk with a Red Rock Audubon Society birding
expert and a Wetlands Park nature guide, and discuss what you’ve seen.

• Saturday, October 21 ~ 10 am -12 pm Weirs Wells Trailhead
Join us Saturday for WEIRS WELLS TRAILHEAD tour. The Weirs provide 29 acres of wetland
ponds, 3 miles of walking trails and a half-mile scenic views.

• Sunday, October 22 ~ 6 - 11 am Nature is for Kids (Ages 5+)
Our amazing desert community has so much going for it. Come
explore these amazing outdoors. Nature is for Kids (Ages 5+)

Join a nature guided, Habitat Hike, to experience our inspiring WetlandsPark. Wear comfortable
clothing and walking shoes, and bring water. All ages, free.

SENIOR GOLF CART TOURS lets Seniors enjoy the Wetlands Park, free. Must have ability to transfer to/from a golf cart is required. Space is limited.

Clark County Wetlands: Hands On! meets Saturday, September 16th at Duck Creek Trail.

This is a community stewardship program. We invite volunteers of all ages to participate in monthly projects that can include picking up trash and debris, removing graffiti, painting, removing invasive plants, trail maintenance, or restoration. Groups are welcome.

We will meet on Saturday, September 16, at the Duck Creek Trail.
Come and join Wetlands Park and the Ocean Conservancy for the International Coastal Cleanup, the world’s largest volunteer effort for oceans and waterways.
