TastySpace

TastySpace Las Vegas Art Gallery and Home of Visual Awesomeness. Part gallery. Part boutique. Part incubator. All delicious. Where exactly? Through The Beat coffee shop. Yes.

TastySpace is located on the first floor of the Emergency Arts building in Las Vegas' emerging downtown. Cross the common area, toward the stairs. Far back corner on the left. Next to the dark room. Across the hall from Peanut Butter Fish. More than an art gallery, TastySpace is a hub for creativity. A small collective of like-minded individuals who love to express themselves visually, verbally, o

r otherwise artistically. Welcome. Original art? Prints? Sure. Commissions? Done. Brand work? Absolutely. If you see something you like and want to swing by to check out the current exhibit or talk creativity, give a shout anytime. Ask for Dana.

For starters, happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I am blessed to be surrounded (often virtually) by some amazing people. Eitan Chitayat is one of them. With the world turned on its ear a little more each day, I was struggling to find a topic worth writing about as a contributor to his recently established 5 Percent Club site. Then I took a step back. With Thanksgiving one day away and much to deeply appreciate 365 days out of the year, here's what I came up with. Please take the time to write and share your own lists, and please take time to check out the site that he recently co-founded. It brings joy to my heart and keeps us grounded and connected. Eitan, thank you.

By Dana Satterwhite. I dedicated 5 percent of my day (1.2 hours) to compiling a list of all the things for which I’m thankful. So very thankful.

The "Warm Bodies" Opening Reception scheduled for this Friday at Alios has, for the time being, will NOT be happening. Please pass that along to others who may not see this FB post. Thank you, friends and arts supporters, for rallying around this show. We were really looking forward to Friday’s opening reception but we have chosen to postpone it and present the work later in the year. If you’d marked your calendars, thanks again for your commitment and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. A new date will be decided before long. On the bright side, your last Friday evening of the month just opened up.

Another quality piece from NPR referencing Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, and Motor City. This is first exhibit to focus on the time Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo spent in Detroit. It's a big step for the Detroit Institute of Arts as it recovers from the tumult of the city's bankruptcy.

NPR keeps it real with their art news (and so much more). Have been reading a lot of great articles but rarely getting a chance to share.
