They’re the reason someone leans in, the reason they feel you before they even know you.

That’s why photography is the base of everything I do with my muses: it fuels our content creation, is part of strategy ex*****on, positions their website, and preps us to be media ready when the opportunities and press eventually roll in.

This is a million dollar masterclass summed up in a post:

There are two extreme realities in business:

1) people inquire then ghost quickly. feels like you’re being overworked while undercharging. profit feels like a rollercoaster. discounts drive sales. you have to ask for referrals & reviews that never come. you always apply for things & don’t make the cut. it’s like a constant chase.

2) people go straight to “how do I pay?” & then do it. feels like you’re getting tips & gifts with generosity. profit is steady because there’s always a pipeline of excited buyers. people send referrals & reviews on the daily like it’s a love letter. you’re constantly invited to be featured. the only thing you’re chasing is the success that feels like it’s gaining momentum faster than you can grow into it.

I’ve been on BOTH sides

(one side will make you wonder “am I even good at anything?” while the other will build your ego up so effing fast)

This phenomenon is not isolated to one industry

After over a decade running my own businesses & working with hundreds of entrepreneurs: I can confidently say I found the ONE thing that determines which side you end up on….

Perception.

(aka “branding” - the act of shaping perception around a business or person)

How you are perceived is how people will treat you.

How you perceive yourself is how you will accept treatment.

The combination of both will create experiences where you feel like you’re on fu***ng top… or like you’re not.

Class dismissed.

PS - branding is not the colors/fonts/logo. That’s part of a visual identity kit, just a segment of branding. Branding is the position you are taking in someone’s mind. You know what’s worse than not being thought of at all? Being positioned in a dream clients mind as “just another option” when you are exactly who they pray for at night
