Day 30 of 30: If I Was Your CMO...
..And you became addicted to running constant sales, but wanted to get out of it and start selling on value and training your customers to purchase your products at full price, I'd tell you that we can do it, but it's going to be painful. And, it's absolutely worth it.

..And you felt like your marketing agency was skating by on auto-pilot, I'd tell you that's probably true, because that's the model. Then we'd fix it.

..And you were complaining that the content your team is writing with AI is slop, I'd tell you you're right, but it's really easy to fix.

..I would never fight with ops. I LOVE OPS. And I'd make sure they love the marketing team too. The key is making sure that marketing promises match what ops delivers.

..And one of your Core Values was "quality" - I'd challenge you to do better, and help you get more specific. And yes, it has everything to do with marketing.

..And were losing business regularly to a competitor that you KNOW does inferior work, first, I'd join you in your rage (because that's super frustrating and you deserve to be pi**ed), and then, I'd tell you I know why it's happening, and that we can fix it.

..and you felt lost about what you were spending your marketing dollars on, we'd have a thoughtful curious conversation, that focused on your full business, not just the marketing.
