My Story
I have worked in advertising for many years. In 2009 I decided to get into event marketing and host a City-Wide Rummage sale in Mobile AL. My husband and I grew this event to 3 times per year in Mobile at Abba Shrine building. We had hundreds of shoppers and vendors. It was not uncommon to sell out of booths for the event. We used mostly outdoor, email marketing, as well as facebook to promote the event (and much trial and error). We moved from Mobile Al back to our home town here in Laurel MS and continued the City Wide Rummage sale at the Laurel fairgrounds (Magnolia Center). God has blessed my family thru the years. He opened the door for me to begin helping Howard Medical in some marketing and social media efforts, then to Outdoor Advertising with Busby Companies. I worked for Busby Companies for 7 years and enjoyed building client relationships and helping them grown their business with billboards. I built my own wordpress website (www.myrummagesales.com) with online vendor registration and we continue this sale today usually with a sale in April, August and December. We usually have over 150 booths with hundreds of shoppers at each sale.
I volunteer with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) which is an international ministry to help spread the Good News of Christ in our schools and community with church partnerships. I helped found the Pinebelt Chapter of CEF which covers 9 counties. We are a member of Life Church here in Laurel and I enjoy helping in children ministry, feeling especially called to evangelism.
In March I began feeling like it was time to start my own business. After much prayer I stepped out in faith to form Beth Johnson Advertising LLC. I am excited to help my clients find the best advertising media to meet their needs and budget. I specialize in shopping multiple outdoor companies to help the client find the highest impressions for the lowest rate. I am building an online portfolio for those shopping outdoor to help even the smallest outdoor companies market their billboards online. (www.oohinventory.com)
I realize that sometimes outdoor isn’t the best solution for the client, so I also offer email marketing, social media marketing, website development, SEO, graphics design and other marketing services for my clients. I am happy to assist with print campaigns, TV, radio and other traditional media advertising. My loyalty is with the client, to help save time and money. However success comes from the Lord!
