Ten years.

When we started Mile Up Marketing Solutions in 2016 (officially June 6, 2016), we didn't have some grand master plan. We just knew we wanted to help small business. We wanted to be approachable, affordable, and knowledgeable so any business owner could seek help.

Looking back at where we started, working evenings after our full-time jobs, to now having a beautiful office with room to grow is pretty incredible.

Over the last 10 years, we've celebrated launches, watched businesses grow, helped nonprofits further their missions, worked with communities we care deeply about, and built relationships that mean far more to us than any project ever could. Many have turned from "customer" to "friend". We learned it's important to meet our customers where they are and do what we can to help share their message.

To every client, partner, friend, and supporter who has been part of this journey, thank you. Whether you've been with us for 10 years or 10 days, you've helped shape Mile Up Marketing into what it is today.

We're incredibly grateful for the first decade and excited to see what the next one brings.

BIG NEWS: Mile Up Marketing is moving!

After 7 years in the Lotus Up Espresso & Deli building, it’s time for our next chapter.

When we first moved into Jamie’s building seven years ago, we were just looking for a creative space to call home, and she welcomed us with open arms. As our business grew, Jamie literally made room for us, expanding our office into her dining room so we could continue growing for another three years in what became a pretty perfect little space for our team, and our plants!!

We are incredibly grateful to Jamie at Lotus Up for everything she’s done for us over the years. Small businesses supporting small businesses is a real thing, and the reason we started Mile Up Marketing, and Jamie has been a huge part of our story.

Now, as the Lotus Up building moves toward a different future, so are we.

This move gives us the opportunity to grow alongside our business, create a larger, welcoming space for customers, and maybe even bring on more help as Mile Up continues to grow (which still feels wild to say out loud).

Starting June 1, our office will officially be relocating just one block away at 201 W Main Street! While we get settled in, signage and building access will be a work in progress, so for now, please reach out by phone or email to set up a time to stop by.

We’ll keep everyone updated as we get things finalized, and we can’t wait to show you the new space soon.

Nine8Culture is taking over the galaxy at Northern Hills Cinema in Spearfish this weekend for the new The Mandalorian & Grogu movie release.

They’re set up tonight and tomorrow during the matinee with comics, collectibles, Star Wars merch, and plenty of pop culture goodness. If you’re heading to the movie in Spearfish, make sure to stop by their booth and check it out.

Also…we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that we helped them out with their setup with the retractable banner and table runner! Looking good, boys!

All hands on deck at SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility) to welcome DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment) to the Black Hills.

Scientists are traveling here from 30+ countries, shown in orange on the map.

We were asked to create a universally welcoming look across retractable banners, Main Street pole banners, and sandwich boards.

Last night we headed to the Elevate Rapid City's quarterly mixer at the new Children’s Home Society Campus and wow there were a lot of people there! They don’t mess around when it comes to mixers.

We got a behind-the-scenes look at the new campus just outside of Rapid City, and wow…it’s going to be an incredible space. The new facility will house 32 kiddos and offer opportunities and resources they don’t have in their current location. It was exciting to see what’s coming together.

Recap of the evening: hard hat tour through the construction zone, snacks and drinks, and building our own little bouquets thanks to Victoria's Garden. We also got to spend some time with Crystal from the Vurcurevich Foundation and meet a bunch of new faces, which is exactly why we’re making it a point to get out more and connect in the Rapid City community.

On Thursday, Luci spent some time at an elementary school for career day, and asked a pretty simple question:

If you started a business… would you sell something or offer a service?

There were a lot of “I don’t know” answers. Which, honestly, is exactly where every good idea starts.

But there were also a handful of kids who knew right away. No hesitation. Those were fun.

So we turned it into something real.

Each student picked out a shaped sticker, turned it into their “logo,” came up with a business name, and built their own little ad, complete with a call to action.

And just like that… they weren’t just kids with ideas anymore. They were business owners.

It was messy, creative, and way more insightful than you’d expect from a room full of elementary students.

Turns out, the basics of marketing don’t change much.

You need an idea.
You need a name.
You need something that catches attention.
And you need to tell people what to do next.

They nailed it.

We love getting to play a small part in big moments like this!

Kristen came to us needing her signs printed and in-hand before her grand opening tomorrow. With the design already done, she just needed them brought to life...and we made it happen.

When I dropped them off, she was elbow-deep in sourdough (always a good sign), getting everything ready for her very first pop-up cottage bakery!

If you’re out and about Saturday, go show her some love at Kristen’s Kreations: small-batch sourdough bread, fresh sourdough bagels, and homemade treats

It’s a self-serve pop-up, so you can swing by anytime between 9am - 4pm at 2800 Raccoon Rd in Sturgis (you'll see the signs!).
