Parents, what do you like to see trick or treating? Keep in mind, we see a few thousand of kiddos this month for different events.
My own kids go to each event Daisy’s does. And the candy - that’s a lot. We sure love candy and will have it, but what else could we offer besides candy that would make you think - oh Daisy’s that’s a great idea!

Some nights I leave the shop after working 12+ hours - I find myself thinking, “How did I get so lucky to have all of this?”

My staff.
My customers.
My supporters.
My advocates.
My family.
My friends.

None of this was built by taking the easy road.

Along the way, I’ve lost connections with people I thought were friends. I’ve had doors close that I never expected to close. But I’ve also gained family in people who started out as customers, coworkers, or friends. And had door open - so many doors.

And I don’t take that for granted. I try everyday to remember how lucky I am. I sometimes fail, but I know deep down, I am SO lucky.

Every single time a customer walks through our door and tells me that another customer’s kind words about us are what brought them in… that means more to me than you probably realize.

I am so incredibly lucky to get to come to work every day. Even on the hard days, even on the long days, I get to do something I genuinely love.

Tonight, as I was leaving, I stopped and looked around both the storefront and production shop.

The boxes were where they were supposed to be.
The bags were sitting neatly on the shelves.
The blank shirt wall was fully stocked.
The hats were mostly stocked.
The appliqué were shining in the dim lighting.
The customer pickup closet looked amazing (because customers are actually getting their orders and that space is turning over.)

Everything just looked… good.

And for a business owner, sometimes those little things feel like really BIG things.

Because I remember when there was nowhere near this much to organize.

Daisy’s is on a roll. ❤️

And tonight, instead of walking out the door thinking about everything that still needs to be done tomorrow, I got a minute to stop, look around, and be thankful. Even though there’s a lot to do tomorrow, I got the chance to pause and be thankful.

Thankful for how far Daisy’s has come.
Thankful for the people who have believed in me.
Thankful for the people who continue to show up.
Thankful for every order, every referral, every kind word, every recommendation, every employee who helps keep this thing moving, and every customer who trusts us with their business.

Thank you for letting me do this.

We will soon be removing the texting option from Daisy's. We do not use it often and are switching to desktop phones to be able to communicate between the 2 shops easier.
We are excited to get better communication for ourselves and customers.
Many times customers text us orders and we do not see them. So this will help your orders not fall through the cracks!

But it also means we will be more likely to answer the phone as the calls come through.

I know some of you, this will be a hard switch, BUT we are hoping a few reminders a month through the next year will help remind you.

Mrs. Skelenta has finally made her way from scaring people behind the basement door to The Heart of Lebanon benches.
11 months and he was still startling me.

I’ll be adding more this week and maybe costume changes if we have the time.

NO! I will not be adding this to my list of things I do.

📣 BIG NEWS — DAISY’S DESIGNS IS EXPANDING OUR HOURS! 📣

For years, we’ve heard the jokes…

“Wait… you guys only work 4 hours a day?”

Well… our posted hours may have been 12–4, but I promise you, we were NOT only working four hours a day!

For a long time, we would start production early in the morning, working on those big orders before the doors opened. Then at 4:00, we had to head out to pick up kids, get to sports, and do all the normal family-life things.

And then… we’d often be right back at it in the evening once the kids were taken care of — finishing orders, answering messages, getting things ready for the next day, and doing it all over again the next morning.

❤️ Our new production shop has changed that for us.

With our large production work now being able to stay at the production shop, we can keep things moving behind the scenes while giving our storefront better, longer hours for YOU.

✨ NEW DAISY’S DESIGNS HOURS ✨
Monday–Friday
9:45 AM–4:45 PM

And we’re trying something NEW…

✨ FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH ✨
10 AM–2 PM

Every Saturday that we’re open, we’ll have our HAT BAR set up in the shop!

You’ll also be able to shop, pick up orders, ask questions, and stop in to see us.

A little Saturday disclaimer:
We’re testing these hours! Saturday hours have not historically been busy enough to make sense for us, so we’ll see how this goes before deciding if Saturday hours become a permanent thing.

Also, large custom orders will not be offered on Saturdays. We’ll have limited staffing on Saturdays, and larger orders require special pricing and quoting that needs to be handled by the boss. 😉😂

We’ll share MORE INFO ABOUT THE HAT BAR very soon! 🎩

So yes… Daisy’s is officially going from 12–4 to 9:45–4:45.

For everyone who has spent the last several years teasing us about our “4-hour workday”…

I guess we finally have to admit we were asking for that one. 😂❤️
