We've been FULL of 4-H and FFA orders lately, and it's had me thinking...

I like to joke that my diploma and 5.5 years at Purdue were worth more for the connections than the actual classes. Considering I don't spend my days in the classroom like my degree intended, it seems like a fair joke.

But the truth is, Purdue gave me so much more than a diploma.

Many of the customers and organizations that have supported Daisy's Designs over the years came from relationships built during my time there. From IAAE, Indiana FFA, National FFA, Indiana 4-H (which admittedly started before Purdue), local FFA chapters, and County Extension and 4-H programs—those connections have become some of my favorite partnerships.

So while I may not be using my AgEd degree the way I originally planned, I use what Purdue gave me every single day. The relationships, experiences, and network I built there continue to open doors and support our small business years later.

Turns out, sometimes the most valuable thing you leave college with isn't hanging on the wall.

BIG thanks to Mark for knowing what I want even when I deny it. He removed the wall at the front. (Which I said for month I was fine staying, but he knew)
Then my dad and him tore up the tile and fixed some walls today plus we laid some carpet down where the subfloor was.
Can’t wait to see how this space will continue to transform.

Hey friends!!
Everyone is sick. Your neighbor, your cousins friend, and EVERYONE at Daisy's has something going on.
We are all working through it and taking time as needed off, but have multiple rush orders we are working on as well as normal deadlines. Please be patient everyone is picking up as we are able. It's been a weird few weeks.

For right now, unless we have everything you need in stock, we are not able to accomode any more rush orders until things get back to normal. But TBH, what is normal anymore HAH

Thanks and we love you all and cant wait for our 10th Anniversary and 2nd Location Grand Opening so we have some more space for all your lovely goodies and to unbox machines to get things done faster for all of you.

On 01/25/26 Lucas and his friend Hudson were out enjoying an evening bike ride when a car pulled out in front of them. Lucas answered God‘s call that night and went home to heaven. As his friend Hudson sustained multiple injuries and had to undergo several life-saving surgeries.

Lucas' father, Brad Martin is working on a Motorcycle Ride to keep Lucas' memory alive all proceeds raised for the ride and these website items will go towards Hudson's long list of medical bills.

If you don’t know, this is my nephew Owen. He’s been a major inspiration behind Daisy’s long before I ever named the hobby that eventually became Daisy’s Designs.

That cute little toddler is wearing a onesie I paid CRAZY money for. I bought the a 3 pack of onesies, purchased the embroidery design, paid for thread, and even paid extra for all the color changes. By the end of it, I had spent around $30 on ONE onesie from someone who was supposedly “giving me a deal.” Didn’t get to keep the extra onesies or the thread even.

That Black Friday, Mom and I went into Joann Fabrics and bought my very first embroidery machine because, naturally, my thought process was: “I can do this cheaper.”

Well… 12 years later, that little toddler is now a teenager, and Oakie will be wearing that same onesie this Thanksgiving (assuming she fits in it) just so I can continue justifying what I spent all those years ago. 😂

Over the years, that sweet “little” boy has modeled products, tested new machines, swept floors, and provided comedic relief more times than I can count.

When he was younger, he used to get SO excited when he’d “find” coins or paper money on the floor while sweeping that we started secretly hiding money just to make him want to clean.

Fast forward to the last time he was at the shop… he “found” a $20 bill and immediately tried hiding it for himself. Apparently that trick works a little differently when they become teenagers. 😅

This year, while working on the Jr. High baseball jerseys,something we’ve been fortunate enough to do for many years now, I asked Owen for his opinion because I’m officially old and apparently NOT stylish anymore.

He ended up designing the entire uniform. And if you know Owen, you know baseball is his thing. He LOVES it. (Possibly more than he loves his favorite aunt… which honestly feels rude, but okay.)

Daisy’s has made uniforms for him before and many shirts(and hats) over the years, but seeing him wear a jersey that he designed himself made me one very proud (and obviously favorite) aunt. ❤️
