Under a September sun. The fellas worked hard and sweated today from morning to evening. We started the painting for some ‘ghost’ signs at the new Chef J BBQ in North Kansas City. The concrete block sure soaked up the paint. This evening, Ben and Remy helped our friends at FASTSIGNS to install a new sign for The Yard Gym. How Remy crawled in the opening to finish the wiring is beyond me!

What an honor to be included in Missouri Main Street Connection, Inc. 20th anniversary book! What a fantastic organization doing so much for the cities, towns and districts across our state. Huge thanks to Phil Eich for his beautiful photos and wonderful words. I gotta admit, they choked me up on the first read. And, to Ben W**e for his partnership, direction and friendship to help take Fossil Forge to places we have dreamed. More signs are on the way, lighting a bright path for Downtown Lee's Summit!

We had a laugh-filled day installing some interior signage for the new Home2Suites hotel, here in Lee’s Summit. Lots of drilling and leveling patterns. This place will be a great option to stay at when you are in town, plus it even has a laundry!

New neon signs continue to sprout in Downtown Lee's Summit. Thanks to business owners, like Megan at Megan's Yoga Tribe, who invest in themselves and most importantly, their community. These signs send a message that this place matters. That the public spaces in our city are worth investing in. Another great build and install by Ben and the crew! Gama Neon added the pink and white glass and Genesis Powder Coating gave the sign a candy coating!

We are so excited for the opening of Well Read! We made this handpainted sign for their great little store in Downtown Lee's Summit. What a fun character for their shop. Come on out to their opening later this month!

What a day. Lots of stops to look at lots of signs. Ben spent some time in the bucket. We love visiting with business owners about how top shelf signage leads to success!

Fresh from the Design Division of Fossil Forge is this colorful illustrated map! We made this for Bruce and Carolyn, who have a wonderful property they are restoring to its natural Kansas prairie splendor. The map highlights landmarks, animals and trails, some which are named after their grandkids…which is sweet! The map is created with watercolor and pen & ink!
