45 Awards. One Incredible Night. 🏆

Akers Media, publisher of Lake & Sumter Style Magazine, brought home 45 total awards at the Florida Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards held Saturday night in West Palm Beach — including one of the organization’s highest honors, the Lucy Morgan Award for In-Depth Reporting.

The Lucy Morgan Award is a tremendous recognition of impactful, meaningful journalism and a testament to the dedication of our editorial team.

Our staff also earned two first-place team awards for Extraordinary People and Growing Pains, along with a second-place award for Style Magazine’s Daily News website.

Individual honors included:
