From work done with two distinct brands, unready to succeed together, to finally years later a cohesive, unified brand strategy and team, I'm really proud of the myriad of work I've done with Christ Community Lutheran Church and Leesburg Open Arms, now known to the world as Christ Community Church and School. Following are excerpts from the large brand strategy and guide I created for them, ensuring unification continues and survives in every aspect of the brand moving forward. Part of my work also included launching this new unified brand to the world; a multi-faceted, all-encompassing project affecting all aspects of both non-profits. And very fulfilling to see complete. (Of course, there is a lot more of this work I could share than what is shown here, but the days are full and I'm sharing a little where I can.)
As a consulting marketer, creative director and brand strategist it is my pleasure to solve problems relating to how a brand is run and perceived, and how their invitation to connect with others is extended. When brands are struggling, it often has to do with being too close to themselves to see what they are doing from a different perspective. And it also usually involves fear of speaking directly to who they are. I've found the most success for brands when leaning into the differences—the ideals some people will hate and others will love. Finding your people comes easily when you are boldly yourself as a brand. When you can be true to you, you give others a place to find themselves.
