Momentum is often created before motivation arrives.

Many of the most meaningful achievements in life begin with a simple decision to start.

One workout.
One page.
One conversation.
One act of courage.

Small actions have a way of creating energy.

When we consistently move forward, even imperfectly, progress begins to compound.

Purpose grows stronger when it is put into motion.

What is one action you can take today that moves an important goal forward?

W𝗛𝗢 𝗜 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗜 𝗔𝗠...

𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦.

Here's an interesting question:

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲?

Maybe nobody did intentionally.

Your identity may have slowly formed from what parents said, what friends thought, successes and failures, comparisons, social expectations and years of your own self talk.

Eventually, those voices can become:

“T𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺.”

But is it?

You have far more influence over your identity than you may realize.

Your choices, thoughts, habits, attitude and the principles you choose to live by continually shape the person you're becoming.

And for followers of Christ, there's an even deeper place to begin.

Before asking “Who am I?”, perhaps start with:

“W𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗺 𝗜?”

Don't spend your life living from an identity you never consciously chose.

Ask yourself today:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?

Maybe it's time to question it.

Every day, voices compete for influence in our lives.

Some voices lead toward hope, truth, growth, light, and purpose.

Others pull toward fear, confusion, cynicism, distraction, or discouragement.

And over time, we slowly become more like the voices we consistently listen to.

That realization can actually be empowering.

Because it means growth is not accidental.

As we intentionally seek truth, exercise faith, and align ourselves with good influences, our desires, thoughts, and actions gradually begin to change as well.

Direction matters deeply.

And even small daily choices shape who we are becoming.

What voices or influences are having the greatest impact on your thinking right now?

𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗜𝗦𝗡'𝗧 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚
E𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗚𝗢
Y𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗬.

Sometimes we misunderstand faith.

We think faith means believing that if we trust God enough, everything will work out exactly as we hope.

The job comes.

The illness disappears.

The relationship heals.

The business succeeds.

The answer arrives.

Sometimes it does.

Sometimes it doesn't.

Faith goes deeper than believing God will give us the outcome we want.

𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲.

It means moving forward while acknowledging:

“I don't understand everything.”

“I can't see very far ahead.”

“I don't know exactly how this turns out.”

“But I know whom I trust.”

Jesus Christ never promised a life without storms.

He promised something far more valuable.

We don't have to face them alone.

Faith gives us courage to act when certainty isn't available.

It helps replace fear with trust.

It gives meaning to waiting.

And 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀.

We don't need every answer before taking the next faithful step.

Sometimes 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀.

Is there something you're trying desperately to control right now?

Perhaps today's prayer isn't:

“Lord, make this turn out my way.”

Perhaps it's:

“𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁.”

One of the most rewarding parts of growth is realizing how much consistency matters.

Not dramatic moments.
Not overnight change.

Just steady effort over time.

Small disciplines often produce the greatest long-term results.

And every time we follow through on something meaningful, confidence grows a little stronger.

Progress may feel slow some days, but small steps still move us forward.

What small habit could create meaningful change in your life if repeated consistently?

We often want certainty before we're willing to move.

Show me exactly how this works out.

Show me where this road goes.

Show me that the effort will pay off.

Show me that I won't fail.

Then I'll move.

Life rarely gives us that bargain.

Sometimes all we have is enough information for 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽.

Make the phone call.

Have the conversation.

Submit the application.

Apologize.

Try again.

Learn the skill.

Start saving.

Ask for help.

Get up tomorrow and keep going.

Hope doesn't require knowing exactly how the story ends.

It simply refuses to believe that the current page is the only page left.

You may not see the entire path today.

That's okay.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽.

Sometimes hope looks remarkably ordinary.

It looks like getting up...

and trying one more time.

Forget the entire staircase for a moment.

What's the next step?

Take that one.

Sustainable growth is usually built through systems, not constant pressure.

When we create repeatable processes:

progress becomes more consistent,
stress becomes more manageable,
and energy can be focused on what matters most.

Systems help transform effort into momentum.

Whether in business, family, health, or personal growth, intentional structure often creates greater freedom over time.

What is one area of life or business where a better system could create more peace or momentum?

Entrepreneurship has a strange side effect.

It gives you plenty of opportunities to practice your attitude. 😂

Customer says no?

Attitude.

Marketing campaign flops?

Attitude.

Competitor shows up?

Attitude.

Employee makes a mistake?

Attitude.

Your brilliant idea turns out to be considerably less brilliant than anticipated?

Yep.

Attitude.

A positive attitude doesn't mean pretending problems aren't real.

That's not optimism.

That's denial.

A productive entrepreneurial attitude says:

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁?”

That little shift is powerful.

Complaining keeps your attention on what happened.

Blaming gives responsibility away.

Fear convinces you not to try.

𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 toward what happens next.

Learn.

Plan.

Act.

Check.

Adjust.

Try again.

This connects beautifully with Orrin Woodward's Identity Process.

Our current reality presents a choice.

We can drift toward Drama Mode through worry, blame, complaining, avoidance and fear.

Or we can choose Dream Mode, moving through hope and productive action toward faith and a stronger identity.

Entrepreneurs need a healthy dose of Dream Mode.

Because you can't control every circumstance in business.

But you have enormous influence over the attitude you bring to it.

And sometimes...

You just need a little more cowbell.

What's one business problem you've been complaining about lately?

Today, trade:

“Why is this happening?”

for

“𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?”

Then ring the cowbell and get moving. 🔔

From Launching a Leadership Revolution by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward:

Leadership begins with growth from within.

Influence is rarely built through position alone.
It is built through consistency, integrity, humility, and service.

The strongest leaders continue learning.
They continue growing.
And they continue helping others rise as well.

Leadership is less about recognition
and more about responsibility.

What leadership quality would you like to strengthen this month?

𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦
D𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦.

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦.

There are two very different ways to feel important as a leader.

One is to make everyone dependent on you.

Every decision comes through you.

Every problem requires you.

Every answer comes from you.

It can feel important.

But it creates weak organizations.

Service leadership takes a different approach.

Teach people.

Give them responsibility.

Let them make decisions.

Encourage their ideas.

Help them develop judgment.

Give credit freely.

Correct privately.

And sometimes, allow them to struggle enough to grow.

Your goal isn't to remain indispensable.

Your goal is to help people become capable.

That's service.

A parent experiences this.

A coach experiences it.

A business owner experiences it.

A great leader gradually helps people accomplish things they once believed they needed the leader to do for them.

Eventually, they begin leading others.

That's multiplication.

Leadership isn't measured merely by how many people are following you.

Sometimes its greatest evidence is found in 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

Think of someone you currently lead.

Instead of asking:

“What do I need them to do?”

Ask:

“𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲?”
