"How much is this actually going to cost?"

That's one of the biggest questions we get about inbound marketing. It's also one of the trickiest to answer. A company starting from scratch will probably need a bigger budget compared to a company with an established website, internal marketing resources, and only a few specific gaps to fill.

Your marketing investment depends on factors like:
- The size and scope of your project(s)
- How established your website and online presence already are
- Your company's growth goals and timeline
- What your team will handle in-house vs. what the agency completes

The more appropriate question may be, "What will it take to reach our goals?"

We break down the factors impacting your marketing budget to give you a better idea of what to expect: https://hubs.la/Q04t1_wq0

We're starting a new series on p80's social media: Clients Say the Darndest Things, because some of the best content ideas come directly from the questions our clients are already asking.

This month, we are answering, "Why do I have to have so many words on my website?"

The short answer? Search engines and AI need context. Detailed, relevant content helps them understand what your business does, what products or services you offer, and when your website should appear for someone searching for those solutions. A great-looking website matters, but visuals alone don't give search engines enough information to understand and rank your pages. Plus, search engines can't fully understand the meaning and context behind visuals without supporting text.

Word count itself isn't a direct Google ranking factor, but more high-quality, useful content can help you cover a topic more thoroughly, answer more of your customers' questions, and create opportunities to rank for additional and long-tail searches.

The goal isn't more words for the sake of more words. It's more useful information.

Search Engine Journal digs into the relationship between word count and SEO here:

It’s not a ranking factor, so why is word count important for SEO? Here's what you need to know about when, why, and how much word count matters.

Personalization helps turn another email in someone's inbox into a message that actually feels relevant to their needs, interests, and stage in the buyer's journey.

AI can help you personalize at scale. But how do you know if that personalization is actually working? Measure it.

Go beyond opens and clicks by tracking metrics like conversions, revenue per recipient, unsubscribe rates, and performance across different audience segments.

HubSpot breaks down how to approach AI-driven email personalization and how to measure whether it's actually improving your results:

Email templates should save you time, not make your emails sound templated.

That's especially true with account-based marketing. The best ABM emails feel like they were written specifically for the person receiving them, because they're built around that buyer's company, challenges, and priorities.

Use a template as your starting point. Then make it personal. We've put together a few examples and templates to help you get started:

In a long B2B sales cycle, automated sequences can engage leads while freeing up sales reps. Get started with these sample account-based marketing emails:

Data centers are a trending topic, and if you are in B2B marketing or use AI tools in your day-to-day work, you've certainly heard about them.

As AI adoption grows, so does the conversation around the infrastructure needed to power it, including energy use, water consumption, sustainability, and the impact on local communities.

This article from Forbes separates some of the facts from the noise and explains why understanding AI data centers matters, even if you don't work in tech, but increasingly use AI to support you in your job. Worth the read: https://hubs.la/Q04sQGQ70

Not every discussion about data centers is grounded in fact, and many people have limited visibility into how these facilities operate or what AI workloads require.

Time for an employee spotlight! This month we're featuring Annie Kasler, a core inbound marketing specialist for the p80 team!

NAME: Annie Kasler
POSITION: Core Inbound Marketing Specialist
YEARS AT p80: One! (and 3 months)
YEARS IN MARKETING: 5

👩🏻‍💻 What you love about this job: The team - so supportive and helpful. I also love the variety of content we get to create.
📈 Most meaningful accomplishment at p80: Currently working on a little project that I think could be very meaningful...stay tuned. (That is what we call a teaser in the marketing biz. 🙃)
😅 Biggest challenge of your role: Creating fresh content that doesn't sound redundant
🤖 Stance on AI: I say it's here to stay, so we might as well figure out how to use it, safely and responsibly...but it will never ever replace human creativity.
🎨 Non-work interests: Cooking, reading, podcasts, animals, and watching good TV with my fam.
🤯 Something clients would be shocked to know about you: My first job out of college was with Entertainment Tonight
💓 One thing you can't live without: animals in my house! They are my real-life therapy.
🦸 The superpower you'd choose, and why: Teleporting ... so many places I want to visit, friends I miss, and I could see my family in Texas whenever I wanted!
✍️The weirdest thing you've had to write about: I wrote a speech in college for my public speaking class on proper hand washing. The audience was totally grossed out by the end.
🐰Number of species of animals you've owned: I have had a plethora of different types of animals in my lifetime - hamsters, gerbils, fish, a hermit crab, cats, dogs, bunnies ... at one point, I tried to convince my mom that we could convert our garage into a barn so I could get a horse. What was I thinking?

“I spent years questioning whether I belonged in these rooms. Now, I ask a different question: Are these rooms ready for the leaders they never expected?” ~ Vanessa Heim, President & CEO of Brenco Industries Ltd.

The Women of FABTECH event brings women in manufacturing together to connect, share experiences, and talk about what leadership in this industry can - AND SHOULD - look like. Hear from Heim and other women in leadership who share perspectives and insights during this important conversation.

When your sales, customer, product, and financial data live in different systems, getting a clear picture of what's actually happening gets complicated fast.

That was the challenge facing Moley Magnetics & Equipment. Customer and sales information was scattered across spreadsheets and multiple platforms, while critical revenue data lived separately in an on-premise ERP.

We helped Moley implement HubSpot as its centralized CRM, consolidated and cleaned up its data, and connected its ERP/account system to HubSpot through a Skyvia integration.

They now have a single source of truth, clearer sales visibility, and more reliable reporting.
