At the end of the day on Wednesday, January 7th, I will be disabling ALL my Meta accounts, both business and personal. There is far too much rage bait, and I can't work when I'm this angry all the time. I have these accounts for social interaction, but they're harming my mental health, and ruining my art career. Things are going to run a little differently here at Studio J in 2026, primarily in response to a disappointing 2025...
- I am booking fewer caricature events. Most of the events I did in 2025 cost me more than I made.
- I am doing more of my own art.
- I am concerning myself less with monetization. If it makes money, great, but that's not its primary purpose. I make art for sanity, and because I'm an artist, and that's what artists do.
- Since money is necessary for survival in America, I am likely picking up a part-time job. If you know of something you think would be a good fit, please let me know.
- I'm focusing more on myself and my own well-being.

Art commissions are officially closed for the forseeable future, while I work on life-stuff. If you have an outstanding commission with me, don't worry. I'm finishing it up now. However, I'm a flea's fart away from total creative burnout, and I need to devote more energy to my self-care and safety. I will announce when commissions are open again.
