I haven't dabbled in digital illustration for awhile, so it was super fun to create this illustration for the Pinnacle Pirates swim conference tshirt and cap! The theme of the swim conference is "Swimstock" so I went with a fun 60s look!

It was great to stretch these muscles again and come up with a really cool design for the team. They are going to have the best shirts of the whole Man O' War swim conference!

Had a moment and looked through some of the old work on this page and realized it needed some housekeeping. Goodness my skills have grown a lot in the last 15 years. 😅 I am leaving up some of the old projects just to show the massive shift that took place over a decade of work.

Anyways, here are a couple more recent projects that I have had sitting around but hadn't uploaded! First, a wedding invitation and program for a dear friend - custom designed and printed to reflect the architecture of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. The linen texture gives this invite a really nice elegant feel as well.

Just wanted everyone to know I'm still alive and well, I just hardly ever have time to post to this page! I keep very busy with ongoing freelance projects and growing my photography business. I just submitted a bunch of my work at Cornett to the local Addy's and I'll be able to share what we win soon!

Working at Cornett, I get to work with clients making a real, life-saving impact on families everyday. Kentucky Children's Hospital is one of those clients and I am honored to help promote the amazing work they do for children and families across the Bluegrass.

A few months ago I worked on a book project by Affirming Faith. This is a 280 page book in the genre of Christian Literature. The author, Lori Wagner, is a joy to work with and I was excited to bring her vision to life. I've been working with her off and on for over 10 years now.

If you're interested in this topic, like her page and show her some love.

It has been a long long time since I posted. Many of you know I work full time for an advertising agency named Cornett. This keeps me very busy and I love my job.

The Lane's End Post Times is a project that I have been privileged to work on with a talented team of creative director, marketers and copywriters. We created this newspaper to appeal to people within the Thoroughbred industry. The newspaper has 2 issues per year, one for the Kentucky Derby and one for Breeders' Cup. As you all know 2020 posed some difficulties for in-person events, so we also distributed this digitally, which provided far more reach than print.

The articles written in this newspaper are industry specific and relevant to those within the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry. The goal is to give them relevant articles that also help keep Lane's End Farm (the client) and its successes top of mind during the racing and breeding season.

A fun feature of this issue is the additional Horse-strology, a fun play on horoscopes for horses! I enjoyed creating the icons to align with the creative writing by the amazing Kathy Martinolich.

The cartoons on the last page are drawn by a cartoonist well known by the industry as a whole, which adds additional interest to the project.

This newspaper has been well received by the industry and also by the client! I am excited to create new issues in the future and expand the capabilities of the digital version.
