Building Momentum in AgTech Across Kentucky

This past month, BADC has laid critical groundwork for the future of AgTech in Kentucky — connecting with partners, aligning strategy, and setting sights on growth. BADC's Executive Director, Jacob Ball is proud to share a few key highlights since taking over the reins in June:

🌱 13 stakeholder meetings across agriculture, education, and workforce sectors — from WAVE Ag Day to engaging with the Kentucky Farm Bureau, UK Innovate, and the KY Chamber.
🏆 Challenge Grant Round 2 scoring is complete — finalists submitted for board approval and announcements coming soon!
🛠️ Behind the scenes, BADC has launched new systems for financial tracking, internal protocols, and compliance to support sustainable operations.
📣 Shared BADC’s statewide impact during a WEKU Radio interview and began crafting new storytelling efforts to boost public engagement.

We’re energized by the momentum and look forward to announcing our Round 2 awardees, launching Round 3 planning, and expanding outreach across the Commonwealth.
