With priorities rearranged and work at a halt, the world has come to a sudden realization that we are all truly just floating through space together.
For possibly the first time, we are all knowingly united as a world, if only this were achieved under better circumstance. May this serve us as a catalyst for further unity and empathy.
Days are now spent homeschooling and caring for the true light of my life, my daughter Emma. This means much less time creating and much more time molding and nurturing (though in a sense is a creation all its own).
With this said, I will be posting new and old work, all of which is for sale. I completely understand that this is hardly the time to purchase non-essentials (though I think essentials can be quite subjective these days).
I am not asking anyone to spend what they fear the won’t have. So here is what I’m thinking. I would like to offer anyone the chance to purchase now and pay later. If there is a piece that speaks to you, or one you have been wanting, let me know and we can make it happen, safely.
I’ve found that incorporating real handcrafted items into my everyday life brings a sort of peace and humility and can be akin to therapy while using and enjoying them.
Here are a few spalted hackberry bowls and quache with toggle clamp. Turned to completion while green, then left to dry, creating the bowl to distort into the lovely oblong shape shown. The finish shown is straight off the knife (no sanding). Thank you to for inspiring me to reassess my turning methods.
Thank you for looking, friends✌️❤️ @ Stay At Home
