My Passion

Hello! My name is Jordan Zarate and I’m the owner of FJ Wrapz & Graphix. I started my career as a graphic designer right after graduating from Liberal High School. I took a couple of classes for Graphic Design at SCCC and started a job at Genesis Graphics in Liberal during that time (many of you already know me through Genesis). At Genesis I quickly became in love with the craft of graphics, decals and all forms of digital printing and vinyl. About 1 year after starting my job at Genesis, I did my first wrap on a 54’ long semi-trailer and 8 more one after the other. During the couple of months of wrapping this huge trailers, I learned a lot about the film and I was amazed of what the film could do. I started doing research about wraps and all the things that wrap films could be used for. I knew this is what I wanted to do as a career. I taught myself how to wrap by simply watching videos, doing research and wrapping sections of my own personal vehicle. I knew I had the skills and passion to do wraps but I never really understood how much value this skills gave me, specially when I became an Avery Certified Installer on my very first try, only missing 1 question on the written exam and being complimented by the world’s leading wrap installer instructor, Justin Pate. Not everyone can wrap no matter how much you teach them and even the good wrap installers will lack two things, Passion and Patience to install a wrap properly that will last the expected life of a wrap. There’s a lot that goes into wrapping a vehicle or anything that is being wrapped. Cleaning being one of the major, most important steps of the process. And to properly clean the surface that is being wrapped you have to understand how the film behaves, how it’s being wrapped, what type of wrap film you’re using and many other factors. Not cleaning the surface properly will result in failure even if you’re the best installer installing the best film. It all comes together at the end. This is more then just a paycheck for me. It’s a passion. I’m a car enthusiast and I love working on any type of vehicle. With 5 years of experience and being the only Avery Dennison Certified Wrap Installer in a 200+ mile radius of Liberal, Kansas. I can assure you that I am one of the best installers in the area and that’s why most of my products, services and wraps have a warranty. I did it all at Genesis, from the design and setup, to the production and final installation of all the wraps and graphics we produced. I increased sales at Genesis every year by providing great quality wraps as an additional service to our customers. I was the only one with the Passion, Patience and knowledge to properly produce a wrap. Even though my original plan was to buy Genesis Graphics and to become the new owner, things didn’t go as planned. So here I am. Starting from nothing and working out of my garage because I can’t just stop doing what I love. One of my top priorities is customer satisfaction. No matter how big or small your project is, I will make sure it meets or exceeds your expectations.
