Normalizing "out of the office" & time away for small business owners everywhere ✌️😎

In case you've missed my weekly posts, marketing tips & live stories lately... I'm here, living our best life as a family with the start of summer break.. and this break from my social hustle is everything!

Here are TWO things I've learned from this planned break (so far)...

1️⃣ BOUNDARIES
As a content creator running 9+ social accounts daily, this break was a loooong time coming! I can't fully stop working, so I set boundaries (and my first “out of office” reply EVER) so it feels good to step away (even if it's not 100%)

2️⃣ STRATEGIES & PRE-PLANNING
Setting up auto posts & pre-planning out my client's content ahead of my trip was a necessity, but my own has suffered because I still need to figure out how to clone myself😝🤣

Reality is, the algorithm will likely slow for me, but that's ok!

A few missed posts and time away with my family was exactly how I chose to start my summer break at home with them (and that matters more to me right now)⤵️⤵️

I'll come back refreshed & ready to tackle more amazing projects & creative content, when I return... next week!!!

This month is a great opportunity for some FUN content creation with observances like: National Homeownership Month, Adopt a Cat Month, Great Outdoors Month, Father's Day, Step-Parent Week, and more!

🎞 Agents: Focus on homeownership as the target this month, with reels that list off steps to becoming a first time homeowner, tips to prepare your finances for buying or how to care for your new home, and don't forget to share your clients perspective of working with you even more this month!

🎞 Product Based Businesses: Focus on the "family" aspect this month with Father's Day and the observance of Step-Parent Week (which is this week BTW) -- Create reels showcasing goods/services that fit the celebration of these special people in our lives and drive more sales, and also create personal reels that showcase WHO these people are in your life, because not everything has to be about direct selling.

🎞 Personal Reels: Focus on driving a deeper connection with your audience this month, especially if you're a parent working from home with the start of summer break. Specifically, BTS footage of you on vacation, on a walk or your coffee thoughts, your favorite quotes, and tips for survival (wink wink, we know it's tough to work with kids on summer break) so find ways to share a laugh and a connection with fellow parents!

🎞 Local Ideas: Focus on a connection with your local audience this month, by creating reels about local eateries that are family friendly, a video about local summer events & fun local things to do around town with kids during the day. BONUS: show you doing these activities in the reel & in your stories to deepen the connection!
