🎉 To kick off , our THD staff will explore the Hispanic immigration experience through award-winning books by Javier Zamora and Yuyi Morales.

📖 Zamora’s book of poems, "Unaccompanied" and "Solito: A Memoir" chronicles his harrowing 3,000-mile journey to the U.S. among a group of strangers when he was just 9 years old. “Dreamers” is a heartwarming and beautifully illustrated children’s book that celebrates the strength of character, imagination, hope, and resilience it takes when traveling to a new country. Copies of “Dreamers” were provided to staff and will later be donated to a local primary school.

On , we'd like to recognize the millions of people around the world who have been their homes due to climate change.

On Friday, our team gathered to discuss how rising sea levels, droughts, floods, wildfires, extreme heat, and other severe and frequent weather events are forcing millions of people to leave their homes and seek safety elsewhere.

As climate change continues to worsen, we must acknowledge the urgent need to support these individuals and communities. We are so thankful for our friends at USA for UNHCR, International Rescue Committee, Save the Children US, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières - USA, Project HOPE, and Habitat for Humanity International for their continued efforts to protect and assist those who have been forcibly displaced all over the world.

Let's work together to address this urgent issue and support those who have already been impacted by the climate crisis. 🌍🌊🌪️

As conditions that best support life shift toward the poles, more than 600 million people are already living outside of a crucial “climate niche,” facing more extreme heat, rising food scarcity and higher death rates.
