Looking for a great spot in downtown Lincoln? 🍔🍹

The Copper Kettle Mule Bar & Eatery has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. With a beautiful bar, welcoming vibe, handcrafted cocktails, and seriously good food, there’s a lot to love here.

Known as Nebraska’s Original Mule Bar, Copper Kettle takes its mules seriously. They’re made with fresh-squeezed juices and fresh fruit, then served ice cold in their signature copper mugs. The Cucumber Lime Mule and Spiced Pear Mule were two of our favorites.

If you’re more of an Old Fashioned fan, they’ve got you covered there too. Even the finishing touches stand out, including a branded orange peel that gives the drink a little extra personality.

And don’t overlook the food! 🍔 Their burgers are thick, juicy, loaded with flavor, and pair perfectly with one of those ice-cold cocktails.

Whether you’re grabbing dinner, meeting friends for drinks, or exploring downtown Lincoln, The Copper Kettle Mule Bar & Eatery is definitely worth putting on your list.

🍗 Lee’s Chicken is a Lincoln tradition, and there’s a reason it’s been around for so long!

If you haven’t been to Lee’s Chicken Restaurant lately, it’s definitely worth stopping back in.

Located at 1940 W. Van Dorn Street, Lee’s is one of those places that just feels like Lincoln. It’s been around for generations, and Janice continues to put a lot of heart into keeping that tradition going.

And of course, we have to talk about the chicken!

The fried chicken has that crispy, flavorful breading you want, but the chicken underneath is still tender and juicy. It’s just good, old-fashioned fried chicken done right.

If you like livers and gizzards, you really need to try them here. The livers were tender and juicy, the gizzards had a great texture, and both had that crispy Lee’s breading we love. If you’re like us and can’t decide, just get the giblets and have both!

We also tried the crispy onion strings and fried shrimp, and neither disappointed. Those onion strings are dangerously easy to keep eating. 😂

One thing you might not expect is that Lee’s also has a full bar, and they make a really good margarita. Honestly, a cold margarita and a plate of hot fried chicken turned out to be a pretty darn good combination. 🍹🍗

They also offer $9.99 specials, which is pretty refreshing considering what it costs to go out to eat these days.

What we really like about Lee’s is that it hasn’t forgotten what it is. It’s a local Lincoln restaurant with history, good comfort food, friendly people and recipes that have kept customers coming back for years.

If you haven’t been there for a while, go back and give them another try. And if you’ve never been, you’re missing out on a true Lincoln classic.
