I didn't get quite as ambitious with these as I wanted (I couldn't figure out how to model the features), but I'm pretty happy with the results.

Time to say thanks to a couple of customers!

Thanks to Tyler Welch for the pit stand order! These were a fun challenge for me and were the first pit stands I've made that had five colors and were printed off of a machine that only has 4 colors of filament. I spent quite a bit of time on them, but I also learned quite a lot and can produce another model with the same results much faster now. Congrats on the 'Barnado' win as well! I hope the trophy brings a smile to your face every time you look at it!

I also have to thank Patrick Keller. While his pit stand was a little more basic, they all have their challenges. While it may have a simpler design, it still turned out great and I hope you get many years of use out of it!

Also, thanks to everyone who has been ordering my 'Bullhorns' on eBay! They have been selling better than I ever expected! I am working on a new version that is attempting to remove the one failure mode that's has been reported back to me by a few people, which occurs when the mounting screws are overtightened. This crushes and stretches the material, leading to failure. The new version removes that failure completely, but may introduce others and needs thorough testing before I release it, if it gets released at all.

So once again, thanks to everyone for your support! I truly appreciate every purchase.

Another order completed!

Believe it or not this one was a bit of a challenge. John's car number has a green to yellow gradient and at first I didn't think I would be able to do it. Then one night I had an idea and a few color tests later it looked like it was going to work! I sent my test prints to John and he picked the one he liked the most and I went with it. The process turned out to be fairly simple, but I'll save the design talk for another time.

I do think the gradient would have turned out a little better if I had a slightly more opaque yellow, but I didn't have any on hand.

That being said, I am excited to try this again in the future and even try new things with a similar process. This method will also allow me to 'cheat' and get more than 4 colors!

For example, if you want your pit stand to have red, white, blue, & black, I should be able to use those colors to also make pink, purple, various greys, and darker reds & blues. Currently, the process I use for gradients will only work on the flat surfaces, but I should be able to mix colors without to many constraints.

So, who will be the first person to push my new limits and beyond?

I just finished up a few more custom pit stands!

The first two are actually the 2nd and 3rd stands that I have made for Hobby Pro Center because the moment Shaun Zimmerman saw the original, he bought it! I didn't actually intend to sell it, but Kyle Harrison told me that if someone wanted to buy it, let them!

Speaking of Shaun Zimmerman, after buying the first HPC stand, he ordered another one but with his awesome "STZ" logo that was designed by his father.

Since I have to put in some design time on these, the introductory pricing will be:

Snapmaker U1!!

While I have always done multicolor with my Bambu Lab P1S, it's not very good at doing it economically. There are products I have wanted to produce ever since I started making RC accessories and I can finally offer them.

I have yet to determine pricing and I will open orders in the next week or two, but I can finally take my custom pit stands and other pit accessories to the next level by adding color graphics and logos. It is currently limited to only 4 colors, but I may be able to produce items in full color in the future.

This new machine is pretty awesome so far and I can't wait for everyone to help push my creative limits!
