The old saying "What is the best camera to take pictures with? The one you have available at the time".
So, when I saw this eagle I had my Galaxy S20 which has one of the best cameras of any phone marketed today (so says the YouTube reviews anyway) and I got a decent picture and don't think anyone would ever fail to note the Eagle sitting in a tree. Considering he was on the other side of a narrow lake inlet about 70 yards away and about 60 foot up in a tree it wasn't too terrible.
However, this particular model was willing to stick around for awhile (no additional charge) while I drove home and got some gear a little more better for taking such pictures.
He was actually still hanging around after my 20 minute camera run. Did a couple additional poses for me (left side was his better profile) and actually did a fly-by on the "runway" when I attempted to get too close. And, yes, I had to take some liberties with the sky and know these pix will never end up in National Geographic that's for sure. But, it was a grey sky and sort of foggy so sharpness was elusive. Handheld (he wasn't going to let me run home again to get my forgotten tripod).
Also, photography isn't always real sanitary and you have to be willing to get dirty sometimes. 😉
