One of the things I enjoy most is celebrating excellence while it’s happening.
Recently, I had the opportunity to stop by the American Legion to support my Red Dawg brother, Noel Stewart, an incredible musician and leader. Many people I spoke with shared the same message: his talent speaks for itself. Whether it’s piano, clarinet, percussion, or leading from the front, he has earned the respect of musicians across the community.
What makes his journey even more special to me is that he’s the second person from Martin Luther King Jr. High School to become a Florida A&M University Marching 100 Drum Major—one of the highest leadership positions in one of the most respected collegiate marching bands in the country.
As fellow Red Dawgs, it’s always a blessing to watch one of our own continue to raise the standard of excellence. Leadership isn’t just about earning a title; it’s about continuing to serve your community through your gifts, your character, and your consistency.
Proud of you. Keep representing Martin Luther King, Jr. HS Alumni Association, the Marching 100, and everyone who’s had the privilege of watching your journey.
