If you have not seen the Lockhart Post-Register yet this week, then you need to pick up your copy today!

As previously announced, the LPR was awarded a grant through the St. David's Foundation. This grant will allow us to implement an initiative to help under served and senior residents of Caldwell County find out more information that may not have been available to them before.

This week you will find there is a new 2 page feature catering to the initiative that will appear weekly that focuses on health related information. There is a guide for different organizations that can help you find resources you may need. Also one activity page is dedicated to kids of all ages.

To reach as many readers as possible we are printing this feature in both English and Spanish.

The second facet to this initiative is that we are printing 500 extra copies weekly and distributing them to area food banks, soup kitchens, senior living facilities and activity centers so they can help spread the news to the readers as well.

We are thankful for the collaboration with St. David's and look forward to bringing this special feature weekly to our readers.
