Today we are celebrating legendary artist Ralph Steadman’s 90th birthday!

As we celebrate nine decades of his creativity, excitement is also building for “Ralph Steadman: And Another Thing”, the upcoming exhibition in Fort Collins at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. The exhibition will spotlight Steadman’s extraordinary career, collaborations, and unmistakable artistic voice.

Recent coverage from SPIN Magazine reflects on how Steadman’s work with Hunter S. Thompson became part of cultural history and why his influence is still relevant today.

Maria A. Guzmán Capron’s figurative textiles hold nuances of identity, memory and cultural complexity in “Penumbra,” on view at Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College through September 27. A recent article in Selvedge Magazine offers an up-close look at the plush works constructed from original hand-dyed fabric. A 15-foot soft sculpture anchors the gallery, and exaggerated hands and intertwined forms emphasize touch as a form of communication. The works are inspired by the artist’s personal experiences as a native of Milan who was born to Peruvian and Colombian parents and immigrated to the United States as a teenager.

Another standout moment from this year’s The New York Times Museums special section: two of our clients recognized for powerful, timely exhibitions marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The Rockwell Museum’s “Native Now: Contemporary Indigenous Art at The Rockwell Museum” highlights Indigenous voices that challenge and shape the future of American art.

“We The People: The World in Our Commonwealth” at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture explores the stories of immigrants and their profound impact on Virginia and the nation as a whole.

Exhibitions like these play an important role in helping to deepen our understanding of American history.

The New York Times’ annual museums special section spotlights institutions that are innovating and evolving with the times. This year, the Chazen Museum of Art is among them.

A recent feature highlights the museum’s ambitious reinstallation of its permanent collection, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the extensive research and planning driving this transformation. Debuting this fall, the reimagined presentation will span 24 gallery spaces, each anchored by a deeply researched focus object.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/18/arts/design/museums-chazen-wisconsin-makeover.html

At the Chazen Museum of Art in Wisconsin, each gallery will now have a single “focus object,” with “a constellation of other artworks” helping to draw out particular themes.
