Delia Alexander, a lifelong resident of Long Beach, recently reached another milestone in her life. Hudson James Lee, the son of Hailey Breland Lee, came into this world on December 10, 2025, making Alexander’s family a five-generation family. Pictured from oldest to youngest with their relationship to Hudson are Great Great Grandmother Delia Parker Alexander of Long Beach (Nannny Dude), Great Grandmother Robin Shavers of Wiggins (Nana), Grandmother Amber Shavers Breland of Wiggins (MeeMaw), mother Amber Shavers Breland of McHenry and Hudson James Lee of McHenry.

Students in Mrs. Fortenberry’s first grade class are learning fundamental mathematical concepts through an engaging, hands-on collaboration project. Working together, students are designing and creating colorful bracelets that demonstrate "pairs of ten" – combinations of numbers that add up to 10.

This innovative activity brings mathematics to life as students select beads in complementary quantities (such as 7 red beads and 3 blue beads, or 6 green beads and 4 yellow beads) to create beautiful bracelets while reinforcing essential addition strategies. Through collaboration and creativity, students are developing both mathematical fluency and teamwork skills.

Students are proudly wearing their mathematical creations and sharing their problem-solving strategies with classmates and families. The project demonstrates Pass Christian Elementary's commitment to making learning meaningful, engaging, and aligned with rigorous academic standards.
