Most manufacturing websites spend their real estate showing off what is on their shop floor.

5-axis CNC machines. Massive square footage. ISO certifications.

While those capabilities matter, here’s the harsh truth: Your buyers aren’t buying your machinery; they’re interested in risk reduction.

When a potential client visits your site, they want to know:

1️⃣ Can this team handle our exact tolerances without delaying our timeline?
2️⃣ How painful is their onboarding and engineering handoff process?
3️⃣ What happens when a spec changes mid-run?

If your marketing materials only list equipment specs, you're forcing prospects to treat you like a commodity and shop on price alone.

What’s one operational strength your company has that rarely makes it into your official marketing collateral?

We had the pleasure of working alongside Five Star Products to design a comprehensive sales enablement package for their ArmX DeepGuard Coatings line, including a fresh sub-brand logo design, overview brochure, and technical sell sheets.

Our goal was to quickly communicate precision, durability, and technical authority.
To make complex details digestible and engaging, we structured the content with a focus on scannability:

✅Key Takeaways in Bullet Points
✅High-Impact Visuals
✅Interactive QR Code Integration

What do you think of the final look?

You’ve heard of reverse engineering, but have you heard of a reverse technical audit?

Most companies build their marketing assets by asking: "What are all the amazing technical specs we can list about our product?"

Instead, flip the script and start with your sales reps. Ask them these three questions:

1️⃣ What is the most common question a prospect asks on a discovery call?
2️⃣ What chart or diagram do you end up drawing on a whiteboard or napkin during every big client meeting?
3️⃣ What pushback or fear do buyers have that they never say out loud, but you know they’re thinking?

When you design your marketing collateral around real customer friction instead of internal product specs, your materials stop feeling like promotional fluff and start acting as silent sales reps.

Try this with your sales team and let me know what you learned.

How do you market in a world of invisible research?

If your marketing assets aren't easy to screenshot, you're missing out on where purchasing decisions actually happen.

Forget PDF downloads and form fills for a second.

The modern industrial buyer doesn't read a 10-page document and then forward the link to their boss. They glance at an asset, take a screenshot of the key graphic, and drop it directly into a private Slack, Teams, or WhatsApp chat with a message that says, "Hey, look at how this team solves that line bottleneck."

That private group chat is where your real sales cycle lives.

If your technical information is buried inside dense paragraphs, gated behind a long form, or spread across five different pages, it can't survive that leap. You need to design for "Screenshot Shareability."

How does your team ensure a seamless experience between what prospects see on the trade show floor and what your sales team hands them in the meeting room?

When you’re navigating long-cycle sales, consistency builds credibility. A disconnected visual identity across your marketing assets can subtly erode buyer trust before your team even delivers a presentation.

We recently partnered with a client to build a unified visual presence across both physical trade show assets and sales enablement tools. Here are the touchpoints we prioritized:

🔹 Strong logo design representing their specialized capabilities.

🔹 High-impact retractable banners and hanging displays engineered to stand out on crowded convention floors.

🔹 Professional overview brochures, line cards, and custom 3-ring binder covers that give their sales team an extra edge during prospect meetings.

Are you making it easy for your buyers to feel confident they’re partnering with an industry leader?

Have you ever tested your website or marketing materials on someone outside of your industry?

When you’re living in the day-to-day operations, you become fluent in your own internal shorthand. You know your products inside and out, so your brain automatically fills in the blanks whenever you look at your website, brochures, or sales decks.

The problem? Prospects don't have that context. What feels crystal clear to you and your team can feel confusing to a fresh set of eyes.

Ask a neighbor, friend, or family member to take a look at your website or brochure and see if they can determine what you do, who you serve, and your core message.
If an outsider has to work to understand your value, your potential buyers might be getting fatigued, too.

I passed a roadside sign the other day that was bright white with yellow lettering. And to top things off, it was written in a script font.

I felt like I needed to pull over and grab a pair of glasses in order to determine if they were selling fresh peaches or offering lawn care.

While unfortunate sign design gives us all a good laugh on the highway, it’s actually a huge missed business opportunity. Whether it’s a temporary roadside banner, a vehicle wrap, or a highway billboard, readability is everything.

What's the absolute worst (or funniest) design choice you've ever spotted on a roadside sign?

How do you take a niche superfood and make it approachable for everyday consumers?

We worked with EverSmith Organics to create a trifold brochure for their Sea Moss Gel line. For consumers unfamiliar with sea moss gel, the biggest hurdle is usually uncertainty: "What is it, what does it taste like, and how do I actually use it?"

Our goal was to demystify the product and introduce interesting ways to use it. Do you think we hit the mark?

When was the last time you grabbed your morning coffee, eagerly settled into your comfy chair, and thought, "I cannot wait to read this 30-page white paper"?

My guess? Probably never. ☕💤

Most traditional white papers read like instruction manuals for paint drying. But the reality is, buyers aren't going to make a million-dollar procurement decision based on a flashy tagline. They need the data, the engineering specs, and the proof.

The good news is "substantial" doesn’t have to mean "boring."

You can deliver technical information without putting your prospects to sleep by shifting from dense text blocks to visual storytelling. Your white papers should include:

➡️ Infographics
➡️ Stylized call outs
➡️ Clean tables

What’s the most creative or engaging format you’ve seen used to present technical data?

We recently completed a logo design for Spry PR, a communications agency based in Richmond, VA, that specializes in getting their clients noticed by the right people.

➡️ We wanted the design to reflect the energy and dynamic nature of public relations. We integrated a budding floral motif as a visual metaphor for ideas taking root and "sprouting" conversations.

➡️ A great logo should work anywhere. We mixed up the color palette to retain its full impact and legibility whether it's on a dark background, printed on promotional materials, or displayed on a digital screen.

Which color combination is your favorite?
