It’s official: Instagram just pushed a major algorithm update, but it’s not the end of growth. It’s just a new ruleset.

I’ve been digging into what actually changed (especially for Reels), and the pattern is obvious — Instagram is pushing content that keeps people on the app longer. Simple idea, but the ex*****on is everything.

The Engagement Trifecta has been the biggest shift for me (check slide 3). Replying to every single comment on a new post is showing up to a 20% reach boost.

It sounds like extra work, but the difference is real. And linking your new Reel to one of your strongest old ones creates a “binge loop” that lifts your entire page.

Don’t get overwhelmed by the update. Growth is still there. You just have to adjust how you play the game.
