⟡⟡⟡ Silence, or survival? 🤐 I stayed quiet… until it started breaking me.
I (40sM) have a high school senior daughter. She was dreading college apps, especially her dream school. To motivate her, I jokingly applied too (fee waived). I told her my acceptance would prove she'd get in. I got accepted. She got rejected. My wife and I comforted our devastated daughter. THEN, the college emailed ME – a tuition waiver for a special program! I'd always put family first, working instead of attending college when my wife got pregnant young. Now, with a degree, my earning potential would skyrocket. My wife is hesitant. She said it would be great if I attended college, but She thinks it's incredibly insensitive for me to attend the very school that deemed our daughter unworthy.. WIBTA if I went anyway?...
