In the middle of an ordinary day, I looked toward the large roadside tree standing beside the power lines. Its crown was thick enough to shade almost the whole corner, while the dark cables crossed the green like straight pencil lines. I have passed this tree countless times without looking up. Today the cooler air beneath it made me realize how quietly it serves everyone who walks by. I was not searching for anything special, but the view made me stop and let the unfinished tasks wait for a moment. The branches, light, and moving air seemed to slow everything around me. I took a few photos and listened to the leaves before continuing. Views like this are easy to overlook because they are always nearby, yet they often become the memories that stay with us. When I finally walked on, the place had not changed at all, but my mood had. A familiar tree, a little open sky, and a quiet pause were enough to make the day feel spacious again.
