What is Jambo?
Jambo is a blockchain-based mobile network project aiming to revolutionize decentralized finance (DeFi) by offering innovative solutions in scalability, security, and user accessibility. An African Web3 company launched the Jambo phone last year and announced the launch of the J Token in January 2025.
Who founded Jambo?
The Jambo Project was founded in 2021 by James Zhang, the founder and CEO, along with his sister Alice Zhang. James Zhang holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from New York University (NYU). The two siblings, passionate about blockchain technology, established Jambo with the mission of connecting millions (and potentially billions) of people to Web3.

The Jambo model is based on interoperability, ensuring smooth operations across multiple blockchains.
