We are recognized for excellence in business!! 🥰
Here are a collection of special & funny moments and a story time for what this means to me.
20 years ago, I was a student at Pasadena City College. Yesterday, I returned as one of the honorees at Pasadena Women’s Business Center’s 100 Women Celebration, recognized for Excellence in Business with Weflouri.
What made the day especially meaningful was that I was there as an honoree and as an advisor for the Women’s Business Center, where I get to support business owners with marketing, business planning, visibility, and strategic guidance.
I’ve seen firsthand how much thoughtful support can matter to entrepreneurs, especially women-owned businesses navigating growth, transition, uncertainty, and recovery.
And when women-owned businesses are well supported, the impact ripples further into families, jobs, communities, and more opportunities.
I’m still moved and inspired by the luncheon as I type this.
I got to hang out with clients, partners, business owners, and community leaders yesterday, some of us met IRL for the first time, too! (The magic going from virtual meetings to IRL hugs just hits different.)
As a business owner who’s worn many hats and worked with and learned from many successful women, I know business development goes beyond capital and marketing. It’s also about knowledge and access sharing, and bringing people up in rooms they’re not in, yet.
I’m grateful to Pasadena Women’s Business Center, Pasadena City College, and U.S. Bank for creating a space to celebrate women entrepreneurs and the ecosystem around them. Cheers to the MVP of all this magic, !
To my fellow women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, I’d love to share what Arielle Estoria said so beautifully yesterday:
“May each seed be the fruit of all your labor.
Dare to dream, dare to build, dare to bloom boldly.”
