🐅🏙️ In October 2003, one of the most unbelievable animal incidents in New York City history shocked police officers, emergency crews, and millions of people around the world.

Authorities responded to strange reports coming from an apartment building in Harlem.

Residents claimed there was a large animal inside one of the apartments.

At first, officers likely expected something unusual… but nothing could have prepared them for what they actually found. 😳

When Officer Martin Duffey and his team looked through a hole in the apartment door, they suddenly came face to face with the glowing eyes of a fully grown 425-pound Siberian-Bengal tiger named Ming.

A man had secretly raised the enormous tiger inside his fifth-floor apartment since it was a cub. 🐅

In the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world, a massive predator had somehow been living hidden inside a crowded residential building.

Because of the danger to residents, police and emergency crews had to carefully plan an extremely risky rescue operation.

The gentle 22-kilogram dog was rescued after being found suffering from gunshot wounds to his face and leg. Police officers and rescuers rushed him to safety, where veterinarians performed surgery to remove bullet fragments and begin treating his injuries. 😢

Despite everything he endured, shelter workers say Wallace remains incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate.
