Editors Lam T. Nguyen and Austin Keeling attended the NY premiere of Amazon’s new sci-fi thriller, Mercy! 

Premiering in theaters today, Mercy follows detective Chris Raven (Chris Pratt) as he stands on trial, accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced AI judge he once helped create (Rebecca Ferguson), before it determines his fate.

For Your SCL Consideration – Marvel’s Deadpool VR for Outstanding Original Score for Interactive Media.

Best known for scoring many of Hollywood’s iconic horror and superhero films (“Hellraiser,” “Sinister,” “Drag Me to Hell,” “Ghost Rider,” and “Spider-Man 3”), Christopher has taken a bold new turn with Deadpool VR - fusing cinematic orchestration with frenetic, immersive game music. Across nearly four hours of music, the soundtrack explodes with progressive‑rock energy, warped electronics, and a powerhouse orchestra, delivering a score that’s as chaotic and unpredictable as the game itself.

“‘Have a good time!’ - that was what they wanted for the music,” says Young. “We had freedom to invent without limits. We weren’t restricted to the footsteps of our predecessors of VR or superheros. We built a massive stereo orchestra: 45 strings, with very high and very low woodwinds and brass, and two stereophonically placed timpanists to create a dueling effect - then layered in electronics and heavy metal. The result is a score that’s as outrageous, anarchic, and exhilarating as Deadpool himself.”

The sound design of Kpop Demon Hunters is pure magic. ✨️ Before animation even started, Supervising Sound Editor and Re-recording Mixer Michael Babcock teamed up with directors Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang to craft demonic voices for the Saja Boys and emotional tones for Rumi (Arden Cho). Drawing from his music background, Babcock studied K-pop’s layered harmonies, reverb delays, and production tricks to weave them into every battle, weapon, and magical familiar. The result? Action sequences that pulse perfectly with the music, making the film’s sonic world as thrilling as its visuals. Harmony isn’t just a theme—it’s the heartbeat of the movie.

Director & Executive Producer Stephen Surjik hit the LA premiere of The Abandons.

Collider called the series “a worthy rival to Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone” - and we couldn’t agree more.

Set in the 1850s, this gritty Western follows a land feud between powerhouse matriarchs Constance Van Ness (Gillian Anderson) and Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey) on a lawless frontier.
