Are you meeting your customers where they are in the marketing funnel?

Awareness 📢
-This is the top of the funnel made of people who are aware of you/your brand/your product

Consideration 🤔
-This is the middle of the funnel, made of people who area considering buying your product/service

Purchase 💰
-This is the bottom of the funnel, made of people who are ready to purchase your product/service

It is so important to target your messaging in a way that helps a customer move down the funnel and lead them to purchase.

Most customers aren't ready to buy from you if they are barely aware of you. At this phase it's most important to have eye catching/scroll stopping ads to peak someone's interest and make them curious to learn about you/your brand.

In the consideration phase it's important to continue to educate potential customers on why your product or service is the right choice for them.

Finally, people who are ready to buy might need to be pushed over the edge with a special offer.

Facebook ads allow you to choose campaign objectives to meet your customers where they are in their journey and better target your messaging to help turn a potential customer into a paying customer.

I get asked all the time if I think someone's business is ready to be running ads.

While I normally hate answering a question with a question, what I always ask back is "What is your goal in running ads?" Too many times people want to start marketing and spending dollars on Facebook because they hear or see their competitors doing it.

I truly believe there is a place for every business to run ads on Facebook, from gaining awareness of your brand to getting leads or even sales, BUT not before you are crystal clear on what your goal is. With 11 different objectives to choose from, Facebook has the power to find the right people that align with your marketing goals... as long as you know and are realistic about what those goals are.

Yes, technically a boosted is considered an ad but by simply boosting a post, you are missing out on the true power of Facebook. Here are a few things you miss out on by not running an ad through ads manager-

Facebook is collecting data points on billions of people every day and knows what pages I visit, what products I’ve purchased and if I’m likely to purchase another similar product or engage with a similar brand. Kind of creepy, yes, but as a marketer it’s a GOLD MINE! Ads allow you to target your ideal customer exactly where they are in your marketing funnel.

✨Customize Your Placements-

Did you know there are 15 different sections within the Facebook owned platforms your ads could show up? With boosted posts you only have the option to choose from a couple and all ads will look the same. With ads manager you can customize what your ad looks like in Instagram stories versus Facebook messenger ads (yes, these should be different).

✨Specify Your Ad Objective –

Our goal with ads should always be to move our audience down the funnel to become customers and Facebook can help us find these people exactly where they are in their decision making process. The bad news is that by simply boosting a post you are missing out on over half of the goals you can choose.

✨Control Your Creative -

When boosting a post you are limited to using the same format that is used on your page, but when creating an ad within ads manager you can add different call to action buttons, extra descriptions, and additional ad formats to your post.
