The old man in simple clothes walked into the luxury Rolex boutique and pointed at a $250,000 watch.
He calmly said:
“I would like to buy this one.”
The salesman laughed arrogantly and mocked him:
“Sir, this is a $250,000 Rolex. People like you can’t afford this. This store is not for beggars. Please leave!”
The old man remained completely calm. He quietly took out his sleek black American Express Centurion Card and placed it on the counter.
The salesman’s arrogant smile vanished instantly. His face turned pale.
The old man looked at him with calm authority and said:
“Never judge a person by their appearance.
I own this entire store chain.”
Moral:
The person you humiliate today might be the one who owns the place where you work.
Never judge anyone by their clothes.
